  • It's on the todo list! Can't say when we'll get to it though, we have a very long todo list!

  • I'm not sure, there was a lot of code in your plugin so I didn't have time to look all the way through it. You should just know that anything at all not defined in runtime.js will be renamed by the minifier, unless you use the ["property"] syntax. You should look through for any references at all to iScroll, other scripts, or anything not defined in the javascript itself, and make sure you switch them to ["property"] syntax.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I had a quick look - I think the problem might be because you use a separate external script. The minifier does not parse or look at other scripts at all, so it does not know what 'iScroll' means and will rename it. So the line 'new iScroll(...' will turn to something like 'new mv(...' and break. To avoid this you must always reference anything from external scripts with string syntax, e.g.

    new window["iScroll"](...)

because the minifier never changes anything using that syntax.

  • Have you seen performance tips in the manual?

How big is your game? 1.2 GB is insanely big! I never thought that would even work in a browser, I'm amazed if it does!

Mobiles tend to only have 50-100mb memory free if you're lucky, so downscaling artwork isn't going to help make a game that big work on mobile. You'll have to redesign your game to work on mobile and scale it down a lot. You should be testing on mobile from the start of your development to avoid situations like this.

We have plans to add features to load large games in segments per layout so they don't use so much RAM, but we have a long todo list, and if single layouts use a lot of RAM it might not even help.

  • We can add support for these button pushes, added to the todo list. However apps should go dormant when not viewed and stop using CPU, are you sure that always happens?

  • Instead of obscuring the objects destroy them or move them out the way, then they won't receive touch/click events. Or, set them invisible with 'Set visible' and add the condition 'Is visible' to any click/touch events.

  • Hmm, looks like a bug - moving to bugs forum.

  • This looks interesting - will check it out and see if it works. Can't make any guarantees though, excanvas was another alternative for example but turned out to be far too slow to be useful.

  • No browsers currently support this but a future version of Chrome may do. We're already planning a full effects system for Construct 2 so we hope to be adding these and more in future!

  • You can always dynamically load anything you put as a dependency, have you tried doing that instead? It probably works better anyway since it prevents lots of plugins adding loads of dependencies and bloating the export.
