  • [quote:2pqhsab2]I am doing this all in one event sheet and one layout believe it or not

Yeah, I did that with my first game as well which is well over 1,000 events lol. It makes it a pain to work on later, which I'm now attempting as I never took the game out of beta. I'm trying to work on it a bit here and there and it really can be a pain sometimes. There's so much that I could fix up now too since I developed the game 4 years ago and there have been so many improvements in C2 and HTML5 since then. Oh well, it is what it is.

How is the pinball sandbox coming along?

  • Can you post an image of the event sheet where you're talking about, or a capx? It sounds like you should be able to just add a condition On Collision with Object to the current sub event, but it's hard to know without seeing exactly what you're trying to do.

  • It's extremely cool. I'm just not intelligent enough to use it to its full potential!

  • Try Construct 3

  • I think if you make your game the resolution of that game you should be ok, especially once you add in the walking animations and such.

  • I think some of it might have to do with the fact that your player sprite is so tiny yet the game is going fullscreen. If you turn off fullscreen and test there is much less jankieness.

  • It's your collision box on your player sprite. Double click the players sprite to go into the image editor, then click on Set Collision Polygons (bottom left side). Set the polygon to a square shape (right click, set to bounding box).

  • If you want to post your capx I'll take a look for you.

  • In your project property settings try setting the following:

    sampling: point

    pixel rounding: on

    fullscreen scaling: high

  • To be honest I went into this thinking that I wasn't going to like it. With that being said, I really enjoyed it a lot! When I finished the level I found myself wanting to play more. The way you have the obstacles set up is exactly how it should be done in games like this. Your image memory is quite high and I'm not sure why for such a small level. Are you using a big background image rather then tiles? That may be something to look into moving forward. Also, I'm not really digging the art style of the player character. IMO it doesn't really fit with the rest of the art (which I think is great). Good work so far!

  • No problem. I'm glad you got it figured out.

  • AlceX Yes, the original Zelda games are an influence for Endoro's Quest as they were favorites from my childhood. I'll take a look at the youtube videos, they sound interesting. Thanks.

  • If you post a capx or even an image of your event sheet it will make it much easier for us to figure out what's going on. Also, in the future, please post stuff like this in the "How do I" section of the forum as this is not a Construct 2 bug.
