The size of the object in the layout doesn't matter, only the size of the actual image it uses (as appears in the image editor) matters. Generally this cannot be over 4096 pixels in either dimension if you want to support all devices.

In that case you ought to pass the dynamic part as a parameter instead.

It will be opt-in. You'll likely still have to review the results too. It can't always automatically convert, and it doesn't cover cases like calling a dynamic function name.

Just an update: I think I've got automatic conversion working well enough that it should ship in the next beta release. It's not 100% effective though, since it can't handle things like dynamic function names, or retrieving dynamic parameter indices. When it does work though it should do a reasonable job, hopefully.

The C3 runtime uses different storage to the C2 runtime. If this is a problem, you should keep using the C2 runtime.

Embedding a JSON string inside another string requires the correct escaping of quotes. JSON must use double quotes ("), single quotes are not allowed. If you're pasting it in a Construct expression then double quotes must be doubled to "" to count as a single character, and not the character that ends the string expression. If you're using it as JSON then " must be escaped as \" inside another string.
