  • The Awesomium exporter never changes the actual display resolution. It will just set the window size to the size of the monitor, and if you use letterbox fullscreen that means the game will fill the whole monitor too.

In practice this is no different to how it would appear even if it forced the resolution; CRT monitors are very rare nowadays, and most modern monitors only have a single native resolution, and will bilinear filter different resolutions and basically stretch them to fill the window - exactly what Construct 2 would also be doing.

  • Well the point of the Game is to be a homage to a part of World of Warcraft that I am very fond of.

Well, if your intent is to deliberately mimic the game, and the game is copyrighted, that's probably on the wrong side of copyright law. Again I'm not a lawyer, but I still think you'd be better off putting your efforts in to original work.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • [I'm not a lawyer]

It is difficult to define a specific boundary, one side of which is illegal, and the other side legal.

If your works are made originally from scratch by you, that's slightly better. But if you want to be 100% safe, just come up with original work and don't base it off existing copyrighted work.

  • This is promising, but like I've said in other threads a high HTML5 point score from html5test.com does not indicate anything about performance at all, which is a pretty crucial area and poor performance could make the whole thing useless for games. So we'll have to wait and see what the real thing is like.

  • Not much will be happening in the game by page 2. Are you sure you don't just need to go further through the tutorial?

Otherwise, be sure to share your .capx file so we can see what you've done.

  • If you save as a folder, all the animations are stored in the folder as sequences of PNG files which you can copy out to somewhere else.

  • You might want to ask Ludei about this, or ask on their forums, since the question is to do with their system.

  • Don't make separate layouts! It's much easier to have one layout that does everything.

Why is it important to know? Can't you just drop in the Touch object and use that solely?

  • See How Construct 2 licenses work. You can either:

    • use your license on multiple computers, as long as you are the only one who uses it
    • use your license on a single computer only, but then any number of people can use that one computer

It sounds like you need a second license for your partner.

  • Despite the fact it ought to work, both CocoonJS and directCanvas have bugs which prevent the AJAX object working. I've told both ludei and appMobi (tagging AppmobiTyler) about it, but neither have fixed it yet. Try complaining to each company, they might prioritise it higher if real users are asking for it.

  • We do actually encourage people to embed Arcade games - it helps showcase the games, and Construct 2. If you're unhappy with embedding I'm afraid you should not submit to the Arcade! Also, since a Construct 2 advert appears in the games, it helps sustain the Arcade (which can take a lot of bandwidth, and we host games there for free).

  • Hmm - try adding empty 'On key pressed' events in the Keyboard object for each key used as controls. This will block the default behavior, which might be to scroll the page and such. It might also be a problem with Facebook... not sure.
