  • I can't open your link.

  • wertt22 As I understand, your code will detect collision in this red point:

You need to check if dec sprite overlaps both sprites. But this is a very ineffective method. With sprite size 300x300 px, the loop will repeat 90,000 times and there will be a considerable lag.

  • You need to post your project file..

  • You do not have permission to view this post

  • Simply add another condition to your main "Is in touch" event - "Touch is NOT touching Button".

If you have lots of HUD buttons, add them all to a family and use "Touch is NOT touching HUDbuttonsFamily"

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Not sure what you mean.. All actions inside the loop are finished for each instance, before processing the next instance. Instances are processed one by one, not all at once. But the whole loop happens in one tick.

If you need to add a delay between each loop iteration, you can do this:

    For each Sprite
    	Wait loopindex*0.5
    	Sprite set visible

Your sprites will become visible one by one with 0.5 delay.

  • AnD4D It looks like in your C2 drawing example you used round cap?

Here is an addon that allows to read collision polygon coordinates.

    colludium.itch.io/polygon

This method may not work with some collision polygon configurations or if objects are moving quite fast, for example:

Objects collided, but none of the points is overlapping another object.

  • The menu on the HUD is too middle (Should be in corners).

Use Anchor behavior with HUD elements.

When I zoom out for a split second I can see the white right side of the screen.

Make the background (the blue area in your video) larger. If your layout is 1280x720, make the background 1500x1000.

PS. Im still not sure how its gonna look on narrowest screens

I already told you how to test for different screens - use the Device Toolbar in Chrome.

  • Currently trying to figure out how to get the Drawing Canvas to draw using a circle pen rather than a square. Who draws with a square pen???

Have you tried setting "Line cap: square"? You can also draw on the canvas by pasting sprites and TiledBackground objects.

  • I also was going to suggest EasyStarJS plugin, I've used it in several projects and it's great for tile-based game. There is a C3 version that supports runtime 3.

  • Yes, use this tool - Sprite Font Generator. (download links are in that post you found)

It can generate nice sprite fonts and spacing data for C3.
