  • OK lucid, thanks!

    I sent you the project.

  • Hi Aphrodite , you are right, HTML5 is the future, but "future" can be tomorrow, or 10 years from now, but I believe that day will come, that's why I use Construct2 for 8 hours a day for the last 3 years, but sometimes is really frustrating to show a publisher a game that worked well 2 months ago, and now is complete mess.

  • "HTML5 is the future of gaming".

Sometimes I have a serious doubt about that Sentence, and now is one of that times.

It seems that when we give one step in the right direction(canary 40), then we give two steps in wrong direction.

I know Browsers are trying to fix these issues , but my sensation is that Browsers don't take HTML5 gaming too serious.

I´ll put on hold my games until v-sync issues are fixed, because I can't show them to publishers, and give them one more reason to think that HTML5 is not ready for a serious game experience.

Unfortunately we rely on too many partners, if I could rely only on Scirra and Ashley reliability, I would sleep a lot better

  • Hi lucid, I bought some Spriter Characters from a graphic artist, and he built each animation of the same character in a different Entity, resulting in a big mess when imported to Construct2.

From what I understand, with this procedure, unnecessary pngs are imported to C2 project, am I right?

Note that all animations make use of the same png limbs.

    Thank you,

    César

  • Hi lucid , great work, i bought Spriter and it looks amazing.

I can't move animations from one Entity to another Entity, is this by design, or it is possible and I am the newbiest of the newbies?

  • This is awesome, but I miss some kind of control over the corridor width.I'm, working on a Dungeon crawler, but I have a lot of Auto-tiling and the corridor width is my main concern.

  • Ashley Yes you are right, I do a lot of audio recording, and I have always the Aero Theme disabled to not waste resources, but usually people have Aero enabled.

OK, if the Jank is fixed in 1 or 2 releases from now, I'll be more than happy, it's on Chrome and Firefox hands now.

    Thanks

  • Thanks Ashley , I'm following the report now.

I did a little test(just visual) with high contrast colors to Jank not be missed.

    The results are:

    Aero theme disabled

Chrome 38:(wait a few seconds) a lot of Jank

    Canary 40 64 bit:(wait a few seconds) a lot of Jank

It's funny that when Aero theme is enabled the result is very different:

Chrome 38: Doesn't feel smooth, but I can't see the Jankiness

    Canary 40:Smooth and no Jank

Can anyone test this with Aero Disabled and Enabled?Maybe this just something related with my system specs.

    Thanks

  • Yes, using C2.

    Nice.

It would be great if you could consider building a tool/exe, and sell it, but unfortunately node-webkit can't export and render the .pngs with transparency/alpha channel.

  • Cool, they are procedurally created?

  • PhoenixNightly Thanks for sharing this with the community! Do you have any insight into the program and how it differs from Adobe Illustrator in terms of features and ease-of-use? Some people starting out with Vectors might find AI too cluttered and unnecessarily complex.

inquiesco, i'm using Drawplus for the last 5 years and i'm very happy.I tried almost every vector software and i chose Drawplus, and this is now a second nature for me.There are a few bugs now and then, but overall is a great tool. They usually drop the DrawplusX5 price to 12$.
