  • You pretty much have to learn Javascript at some point. The plug-in sdk has you covered for all those worries.

    Its a 2d engine, thats the only limitation.

  • Mostly because you would not want all units to occupy the same coordinates.

    Its a great system, it does require a good bit of understanding and forethought. Enough to make it feel somewhat unfinished.

    There are other pathfinders I might add.

  • I just don't think its worth it. Cocoon does essentially the same thing for mobile, and Windows 10 gives us desktop support, not to mention the possibilities on Xbox.

    I have yet to see any benefit from using Unity.

  • What would be sad is if after doing all the work its slower than vanilla C2, or that it would need Flash to run in or browser.

    I assume the greatest advantage would be to get away from having to use Nwjs to get a standalone for Windows?

    Too bad there's nothing in the works that would solve that easily.....

  • Sure the capx format is xml, so creating a converter should be pretty straight forward. Its basically the same as what cocoon does. You know the one that doesn't include the dom.

    No idea what the licensing issues he, or users will have with Scirra, and Unity.

    Of course trying to make a buck off another business is a thing to try.

    Its not like they create a new release every single week that they may or may not be inclined to design just to break this kind of thing.
