jourdan, that's pretty straightforward to do using Sprites and the Touch object, isn't it? Is a separate object really necessary?

You know there's a free bundle of music, graphics, sound etc. with Construct 2? And that you get even more once you bought a license? Or were you looking for something else?

Kyatric is right, if you install even to a USB stick, the installer will think you've already got it installed (it doesn't know it's a USB stick). So it will offer to uninstall the old one. This is so people upgrading from say r57 to r58 have a one-click way to uninstall the old release, then do a fresh install of the new release. However, if you're installing twice (first to a USB stick, then to your PC), you definitely don't want to uninstall the old one! That's why the prompt is there, for you to click 'no'.

And just a little remark, on Firefox the game was having some "hiccups" on the framerate every two seconds or so

Could you send me the .capx to have a play with? It might be a garbage collector issue - but the engine recycles destroyed objects as well! If you destroy an object then create an instance of the same type, the engine re-uses the last destroyed instance. It keeps a cache so up to about 30 instances can be recycled. So that shouldn't be an issue, but if I play around I might be able to spot something else I can do.

Well, it's nice to see my example has at least caught some bugs, but there's still the problem of the very first event not working at all. I've tested to make sure. Hell, I moved the text actions from event 3 as a debug measure. Definitely not working.

I think that's related to what I mentioned earlier: at first 'on ground' is false so it doesn't run, but when it lands on the ground it has 0 speed, and when it has 0 speed it never steps so the 'on step' event never runs. So it never sets 'on ground' to true. You probably want a detector or something there.

No, the lines of the polygon should not overlap each other. It's only done that because the polygon guesser doesn't do very well with awkward shapes. You should adjust it so no lines overlap.
