  • patmar - the content exported from Construct 2 is not compatible with CocoonJS unless you use the specific 'Export to CocoonJS' export option, which is only available as a benefit of the licensed edition. I'm afraid we can't offer support when not using the intended workflow, so this topic is now closed.

  • Just use the CocoonJS launcher to give some stock examples a spin. That's what we do rather than build APKs.

  • Your example works fine here as well, in Chrome 22. None of the console messages you posted are anything to worry about (they are just the social buttons). Perhaps it's a problem your end? Have you tried any different browsers?

  • Have you seen the How to make Android games tutorial?

  • This isn't supported. However you can often achieve the same effect by composing objects out of multiple sprites, and moving those sprites at runtime.

  • I cannot reproduce any performance problem at all on iPad 2 or iPad 3 with retina mode off, so this problem seems exclusively to do with iPad 3's retina display.

I am not sure why a certain window size would be considerably slower - I am fairly sure this is a WebKit/Safari bug, since we are running the exact same code either way - there's no reason our engine would be faster or slower either way. I would guess that certain window sizes either align or don't align with the main viewport, which enables or disables various optimisations (or even reverts to software rendering in some cases). Given that the iPad 3 is generally not fast enough to keep up with its significantly higher-resolution display, I would recommend just turning retina mode to 'iPhone only' or 'Never' for the time being.

  • This is by design. To prevent malicious sites fingerprinting you by the controllers you have available, a controller won't count as connected until you press one of the buttons on it. This is also described in the Gamepad documentation.

  • Exporting to CocoonJS is not supported in the free edition.

  • This is a CocoonJS bug, please report it to — Power-of-two size textures should definitely be able to tile seamlessly. Note setting 'Pixel rounding' on and 'Point' sampling seems to help, but still doesn't entirely fix it (horizontal lines are gone, but vertical lines are still there).

  • This definitely looks like an Awesomium issue, because it's crashing in awesomium.dll. Best contact Awesomium about it.

  • This is a very mysterious problem for two reasons:

    1) We mostly only changed javascript in r106, we made very few editor changes.

    2) The error message looks incorrect, since it ought to report something like "The entry point 'foo' was not found", whereas there appears to be an empty space in the error message where that ought to be. This suggests it may be related to an OS issue or some kind of OS customisation.

I don't know what to do about this right now; any more information at all would be helpful, such as testing on a range of computers to see if there's anything in common between the computers it doesn't work on, checking the Windows Event Log like blackhornet suggested, or trying to find any OS settings that affect it.

  • The only bug here is the 'Value' dropdown does not fill out correctly; this is fixed for the next build. What you describe with the expressions panel adding in to the value field is by design (these are expressions, and expressions cannot be entered in to a dropdown).
