  • The level isn't complete by any means. I threw in a bunch of assets to see how it all looks together. Need to adjust colors and things

  • procrastinator Thank you for checking back and for the nice words!

Here's an update... I am playing around with a background style. Still throwing around concepts but it's moving along.

  • good job. I like it. pretty cool.

Also Ubie makes an appearance as a 1up Trophy just like Sandy made an appearance as a 1up trophy in Super Ubie Land...

  • Looks pretty much like Construct 2. For free I'd play around with it but I'm already used to C2 as it is. Thanks for the heads up on other game dev software.

  • I just do it like this:

ON player collision with invisible sprite

       - Set variable Position to X (whatever value you want which will               change depending on how many positions you can spawn to on your layouts)

       - Go to Layout

On each event sheet have a

    On Layout Start

       - If Position = X

            - Set Player position to (X, Y)

    and that's it...

  • You guys all have seriously good stuff!

I'm playing around with Idle animations for my game, Team Notion. Still getting the hang of all this stuff. I want the characters to all follow a tempo that matches the game's music.

  • I've been using Spriter for my Team Notion project and I like it. Spriter feels really basic compared to Anime Studio or Toon Boom but I see the potential in it. Hopefully a lot more features get introduced and hopefully we can get more menus telling the user what all we can do. For a while I couldn't figure out how to link bones to sprites and things like that.

  • Sounds pretty unique. hope to see some gameplay soon

  • The best way to get around this, I've found, is to have an 'object dump' layout that you never run, but has an instance of every object on it so C2 knows their initial parameters. It works great for me.

I do the exact same. Works well

  • The game is looking better and better. I like the new backgrounds and how they don't take much away from the foreground elements.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I am slaving away at these Idle animations... And I redesigned the Drew character so he doesn't look similar to the Green Lantern anymore. The background is stuff from Super Ubie Land and will be changed. Just testing to see how the animations look in-game.

  • Thank you Blacksmith

    I ended up going with C :D

Here's an Idle animation that I am working on.
