The Official Introduce Yourself Thread

  • Hello everybody, I'm a student from Romania. I study computer science and I decided to create some games with scirra c2 for my website, in order to find a bit more about game dev.

  • Hi. Been here for a few months but never found the time to introduce myself :). Im a 2d/3d/web designer, im from Spain and work as website art director. Did few games already but always as the designer. This time im working on my own game with the awesome C2 :D. Been working on my project for 2 months on my free times and hope to have something polished to show you soon :D

  • Hey!

I'm just a normal guy from Norway, I'm not really a game dev and I don't have any skills in game developement. That's why I chose Construct. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I've seen alot of good game's out there, and my goal is to make game developement a hobby.

This is a test of a game i've been working on: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/89001833/Alien%20Attack/index.html

I started using construct 2 for about 2 weeks now, and I enjoy it. So I would consider me new here. Really enjoy the forum and all the community's members, you are all so helpfull.

    See you around!

    Updates comming very soon!

  • Why do I have the name DJcrazypants? Well... easy to remember.. I make music... better than all the other aliases I've used.

I really love Construct 2, I kinda feel like I've wasted my money on Gamemaker and gmk. Construct 2 just makes sense.

I have been making games since I was 11, back in those days we used Quickbasic or C++, those where the days!

I just want to make fun games, not a crazy MMORPG, why do people want to make these without a developing team of like a 1000 people. When was the last time, you just sat down, lit one up and banged out some Mario?

  • Try Construct 3

    see you again

  • Hi everyone!

I'm the lead developer of a new chilean videogames company called Octeto Studios (http://www.linkedin.com/company/2456753?trk=tyah // facebook.com/OctetoStudios)

Since 2011 we were following C2 progress making some prototypes, and now due to its maturity and the fact that you can publish native games to iOS (soon Android) with appMobi, we chose it for our first serious and commercial project.

For now, we all (the 5 Octeto Studios founders) have our full time jobs at day (I'm a Project Manager at a Development Software Company) so we don't have all the time we want to work on our company. In this scenario C2 makes things quicker and easier for us. So, thank you Scirra.

We are targeting mobile games and hope you hear about us in the following months :)

Here in my country, the videogames industry is growing faster and we want to be part of it.

Thank you all for share your knowledge of C2 in this lovely community.

  • We'll i dont have much to say...im interested in making games and will love if you all try it out!     http://www.scirra.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

  • Hello All,

Rich here and Looking forward to learning to use Construct 2 with my Son. I am a 3D artist by heart looking to making something with my models that have been collecting virtual dust.

  • Hi forum,

my name is Martin and I stepped on Construct 2 by accident. I was looking for an engine to quickly prototype classical vertical shooters and run&gun-games.. I started by looking for the engine the "Toki"-remake was being created with, but for me this one requires way too much grunt work to get a system going, what I was looking for is basically a finished system where you would fire up the editors and start putting levels together.

So I discovered Construct2 in a forum thread, went to the Arcade and I was pretty much sold.

So here I am, proud owner of a personal license <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> and I've almost finished stage 01 of our pitch prototype.

  • Hi. I'm Karzay.

  • Hi,

My name is Shahrooz, I'm a game programmer and I make a living with that. recently I found Contract 2 and and I think its a very interesting game engine.

Nice to meet you all :)

  • Hi,

My name is davidB, I'm a java/scala/javascript programmer. I would like to make game (at least try).

I'm a Linux user, I started to make my own game + game-engine (three.js + svg + home made work). But it's a long way.

Recently I received a XP license, so I give a try to Construct2. There is less code (<img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> for a programmer), but it's quicker to start working on game-play.

Nice to meet you all :)

  • Hi everyone im ninjafedora and im 12 not so new to gamemaking ive used scratch and wanted to try something new, and i found construct 2 :)
