The Official Introduce Yourself Thread

  • Hi! Just used Construct 2 for an Adventure Time themed game jam. The tool completely rocked! Will hopefully be using it for a lot more projects in the future.

  • Hi there! I found out about Construct 2 while browsing some indie games, saw a reference and then came to see what it was. I must say I'm quite impressed with this tool, as not only is it good for making games, I find it quite useful too for making quick prototypes to see if an idea is fun or not.

  • Hey,

I'm lonehangman...I'm loving construct 2 and have currently been preoccupied from my game to collecting medals on this site :/

To any beginners, don't call your self a noob or retarted. You are more than that and just because you don't know one thing doesn't make you retarted, have some confidence in yourself.

I learnt construct 2 from just tinkering with it, and entering the Ludum dare contest (which increased my knowledge of it by heaps in such a short time).

Once you've lerned construct 2 go on and learn JavaScript. The best way to do it is at codecademy, you'll know JavaScript in under a week. At this point you have the knowledge to make your own plugins and behaviours.

So don't call yourself a noob, believe in yourself and make some games!

  • Hello everyone!

My name is Xev and I'm an illustrator, writer, and musician seeking to try to make a game out of some of the concepts I have laying around in my data wells on my PC.

As far as games go I love First Person Shooters, 2D action platform games, unique physics puzzle games, and fighting games (both 2D and 3D). I've always wanted to try to make a game based on my stories that is somewhat like a mixture between Megaman (Preferrably Zero, ZX and ZX Advent) and Deus Ex: The Conspiracy (Mainly RPG elements) and a few other games that have great concepts to try to add (Quake series, Grand Chase, Metal Slug, etc.) as well.

I'm glad I found this community (and definitely the program) and I hope to be a part of it as much as I can within the busy life that I have.

It's a wonderful pleasure to be here!

  • Hi all, I am Massimo, an Italian computer engineer living in Munich and willing to start creating HTML5 games and maybe become a professional developer one day.

I am running a blog where I post information about game creation I find online (with Italian comments but mostly English content, maybe some Italian translations and own content in the future).

I would like to create games mostly with other Italians to help build up the Italian Game Dev community.

  • Hi, i am Aryan, love games play games and now with construct 2 would like to make games. it's been few hours on scirra arcade page as i was checking out the games published by this community. I just loved them indeed most of them are old concept but the best part is it's done without coding. That's give me a boost and relief at same time and inspire me to make my own games and launch for the scirra community. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

you'll see my game soon as i'll finish off few tutorials.

    Have a great day

    Aryan
