You can use rgbex255() expression in the "Set color" action, it takes values 0-255

I couldn't find the effect that can turn a color transparent, but you can try Alpha Clamp effect. If you make the black color in the wall image slightly transparent (say, 250 alpha), you can configure the Alpha Clamp effect to make this area completely transparent.

Another idea - if your back wall is a TiledBackground, you can decrease its width:

Blue line is the full width, red line is the cropped width.

Just a little correction - you can't use dots in variable names. So your instance variable can be start_x or startX, but not start.x

I am trying to upload the source file (C3P project) for my game. It uses a few addons which I bundled with the project. However I'm getting the following error:

Your zip file contains files with the extensions .c3addon. These files are not allowed.

Could you allow uploads with bundled addons?

I am not sure I fully understand the problem, but maybe you can cover the part of the wall that you don't want to show with a mask sprite? Destination Out blend mode on the mask will make the wall invisible.

I would love to see the final game. I've recently made something similar (I guess? maybe not) for a game jam, take a look.

You can download and install C3 version of Rex's MoveTo here:

construct.net/en/forum/extending-construct-2/addons-29/behavior-moveto-40701/page-28
After you open the C2 project, you can replace Rex's MoveTo with the official MoveTo behavior. Or use Tile Movement behavior, it's specifically designed to move objects on a tile map.

I think what OP is asking is can you assign 2 tags to the same audio.

Yeah, that's what I meant. For example, if you want to play sounds with tags like "laugh:enemy", "scream:enemy" and "scream:player", and then mute all screams, you can't do this. You'll need to associate these custom tags with each sound using an array or something similar.

This effect is enabled by default. You need to disable the outline effect on start of the layout, or in "On SpriteFont Created" event. And then you can enable it for a selected instance.
