  • Just want to take the opportunity to thank Kyatric for being really helpful and dedicated on the forum! Thanks very much!

  • You do not have permission to view this post

  • You'll need to know HTML to be able to add the code to your own site. However, this probably isn't the place to learn it. Try searching for some tutorials!

  • After exporting, change the logo.png file in the exported directory.

  • Now let's wait and see Nvidia's support's reaction.

I tried reporting an issue to ATI. I got forwarded in circles then ignored. Don't get your hopes up.

  • I've checked with Tom. You can only use the bundles for Construct 2 only. We're not here for people to drive by, pick up the bundle and start using it in some other tool. It's a little benefit/thankyou for using Construct 2. This applies to the free bundle as well (remember a lot of people are using the free edition so aren't license holders). Hope that helps!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • There's a problem with an ATI card in another thread. I wonder if I should write a software renderer for the layout view... that would be boring, complicated and very time consuming, when I'm already pressed for time, and only because huge corporations with thousands of employees don't know how to write drivers <img src="smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> this sucks...

  • Erg. Sorry but this isn't really our fault: your graphics card driver has a problem and probably needs updating, but hardware vendors are so badly organised that they can't even come up with a good arrangement to make it simple to update your drivers.

You might be able to try:

    • Check for updates on Windows Update and see if it suggests any new drivers
    • Try the 'Hardware Vendor Update Utility' linked to on the page you posted
    • Otherwise, I'm guessing this driver might work. It might not, so please make sure you know how to system restore in case something goes wrong. If you get this far, complain noisily to customer service, because it's appalling that they force you to guess what driver you need.

    Hope that helps.

  • Follett, you can also get it to work by writing a javascript plugin as mentioned before. It's just external javascript can't reliably call in to the Construct 2 engine. There are various reasons for this: the minifier and obfuscator, the complexity of the engine, and so on. Writing a plugin is probably the easiest way, or AJAX if you're making requests to other pages.

  • The 'On object touched' and 'Is touching object' conditions do support multitouch, so you can make game controls using sprites and it will work well. However, the Android browser doesn't support multitouch! It should work fine on iOS, but Android probably won't work until the 'Ice Cream Sandwich' update, which is due some time in October I think.

  • These kinds of bugs drive me absolutely crazy because I have no good way to fix it: it's a driver bug and I don't have your driver, so it's very time consuming to fix it. I have to keep guessing what might fix it, then sending you a test build, and so on.

I genuinely think the easiest thing to do is to report a bug to nVidia. It's their fault anyway. Sure, drivers can return error codes and fail to render, but they should never crash. I can't believe how crappily most drivers are written, and then we have to work around it. :-\</p>

  • It's up to the browser how it renders it. As a workaround, try always scrolling to round(Object.X) and round(Object.Y). That'll keep the display at integer co-ordinates which should prevent sub-pixel 'seams'.
