  • I don't think HTML5 has support for pen devices I'm afraid... remember HTML5 is specced for stuff that's going to be useful for the entire internet, not just us.

  • I'm not sure what you mean - have you tried changing the origin of a sprite by double-clicking it and using the 'image points' tool in the image editor?

  • We're aware of spam arriving on the site by hired people rather than bots. The tactics don't change though. As the OP says, just don't reply and report them, and we'll clean them up. We're introducing minimum rep limits for various activities to try and limit their impact. This can sometimes inconvenience genuine new users but unfortunately it's the price we have to pay to keep the boards spam-free.

  • Wow, love the artwork! It looks beautiful. Makes me want to hurry up with the WebGL exporter so HTML5 games can look like that too...

  • On the other hand, it's irritating as a player to switch the tab away, and come back and you've died because the game carried on while you weren't looking. IMO, it's actually a useful feature it pauses while you're not looking.

The player can always create a new window with a single tab - that might work to keep it running.

  • Maybe you could post some of your previous projects and work? It is very hard for anyone to judge whether they should get involved by an anonymous post like this.

  • Thanks, I try hard to encourage a friendly helpful community, and I think we're all doing well :) Everyone deserves a share of the credit - we all have to co-operate to get along.

  • Kyatric is right, by design local variables reset every tick. They don't keep their value. Again, this is designed to mimic how local variables work in programming languages (you wouldn't expect a stack variable in C to have the same value last time the function was called). Global variables persist their value, of course, so maybe in this case you want a global variable. Remember, local variables are intended for when you temporarily need a place to hold a number over just a few events.
