That's odd, the only thing that changed between those releases is the handling of the 'On destroyed' trigger. Do you use that a lot?

I strongly recommend you don't revert to r95 - there were nearly 100 bug fixes between r95 and r103.2, so using r95 will expose you to nearly 100 extra bugs, which surely won't help.

Crashes can be caused by many things and not all of them are our fault - your graphics card driver is a likely suspect, is it up to date?

Did you read the list of breaking changes? The one which catches most people out is the way instances spawned or created in subevents is handled. There have not been any changes to how events like 'pick by UID' work at all.

Exporting to Awesomium effectively exports a standalone version of the Google Chrome browser which just loads your game in a standard window.

It's still experimental support - it has a performance problem we're trying to work out that makes it slower than Chrome, but once that's fixed it should be at least as fast as Chrome.

Construct 2 definitely should not reset your backup settings between releases. Are you sure it did that? That's really the solution here, since the odd crash is probably inevitable, and C2 does have backup settings you can configure yourself, but they weren't in effect for some reason.

Add a subevent after each 'Wait' that checks some condition is still true, e.g. 'enabled' is still '1'.

I think this is just one of the few cases you need a large area of transparency around the mask image.

You could also try playing with some other blend modes, like 'destination out' to cut a hole in a layer, and 'force own texture' on the layer to ensure it is drawn separately then copied to the main display. With some creative tricks you can sometimes make the same visual thing a different way.
