  • hugone Paster plugin doesn't work in Construct 3

  • Yes, "Else" was only applied to the last condition - arrayName="playerCharacterDB".

So when arrayName was "playerCharacterDB", Else block never triggered.

  • I found setting mouse cursor from sprite very buggy. So I simply set cursor for none and on every tick move a sprite which I want to act as cursor to (mouse.x, mouse.y) position.

  • I have a demo, which is pretty basic, but maybe you can adjust it to your game:

  • You need to remove "Else" from event 17. Leave the condition part empty.

Also, your project is crashing because While loop becomes infinite. If there is even a small chance to create an infinite loop, you should always include an "safeguard" exit condition to it! So add condition "loopindex<1000" to the while loop. It will stop the loop after 1000 iterations.

  • Try Construct 3

  • You need more than one image for each letter?

You can add several spritefonts with different sets of images. Select one at random. But you will not be able to mix letters from different sets in one word.

If you need truly random letters, you have to do it with a sprite object. See my first comment.

  • Did you import the sounds correctly? They should be in the Sounds folder, and WAV files get converted to WEBM.

Also, you should use "Audio Play" action (not "Play by name"), and select the sound from the list.

And finally, if you play a sound inside of "Keyboard Z key is down", it will be repeated many times per second and will sound distorted. You should play it in "On key pressed" event, which is triggered once.

  • There may be about a dozen different reasons. You need to post your project file or at least a screenshot of the events.

  • Which touch events are you using? I suppose you should only use "On touch start", not "On tap".

You can try different acceleration, deceleration and max speed settings.

  • I searched you Construct demos site, but couldn't find a demo with this title.

    It's the official C3 template :)

Afaik V-Sync mode is for publishing, other modes are for testing only. My laptop has 60Hz screen, maybe that's why it works fine for me.

If physics behaves differently with different V-sync setting, this does seem like a bug.

  • Physics world is delicate, sometimes you change one value and everything stops working.

Check out the "Physics: Rolling Platformer" template. I tried setting gravity to 100 and the boxes there still don't jitter. You can copy their properties to your project.

Also, try different values for "Set stepping iteration" action.

  • dupuqub It's not a bug. "Monsters X>Player.X" condition picks Monsters instances. And if at least one instance is picked, than this condition is considered true and the Else block will not be executed. Only when all monsters are to the left from the player, the Else block will run.

So you need two events - "Monsters X>Player.X" and "Monsters X<Player.X"

  • Here you go:

I should add this example to the website :)

  • In events 12 and 13 you need to use condition "Paddle -> Is animation playing". System condition "Compare two values" doesn't pick instances.

I don't see any other issues.
