  I can't find a way to reproduce it from scratch (without C2's engine). No idea what's going on here, but it does seem to be a Chrome bug; you could try reporting it to Google anyway, but they might just ask for a simpler repro...

  It looks like a Chrome bug. It works fine with WebGL on in Firefox Nightly. Also in WebGL mode the text object actually uses the same canvas 2D drawing function, and then copies the canvas to the WebGL view. So our code is even more or less identical in both renderers. I'll try repro it and report to Google.

  We have this problem a lot, and it's *always* the graphics card driver crashing. There's nothing we can do to fix it from C2; it's your graphics card manufacturers fault. If the very latest drivers don't work, try the beta drivers - if they don't work, you need to take the problem to the manufacturer.

  You shouldn't do this; if you read the manual entry on Pathfinding you'll see that it is extremely CPU intensive to change the obstacle map, so you definitely can't do it on a regular basis.

  jQuery should be doing mostly nothing, how do you know it's causing the performance bottleneck?

  It's used heavily for form controls, and occasionally for aligning the canvas in web-based games.

  I was planning on doing some upgrades to the CocoonJS plugin, and writing more documentation, for the next release or one after. I think Scirra and ludei are both hoping the other will be more proactive in integration because we're both busy, but I will get it done eventually either way!

  That tutorial is out of date; you don't need to follow those steps, just pick the 'node-webkit' export option in Construct 2 and it will do everything automatically. That tutorial was posted before the support was built in.

  You could try padding your audio clips with silence, but that might cause other issues with the delay before the sound plays.

  There isn't, and it's not to do with third party software, it's just browsers are fussy about whether or not they allow you to close the window or not. It depends on the precise way the window was opened. This definitely isn't a C2 bug.

  Setting isDomFree to true should avoid any DOM/jQuery calls at all. Where are the calls still happening?

  Also, Win8 and WP8 already have accelerated canvases so there's no need for directCanvas for them.
