9-patch shouldn't be a performance killer. It should be equivalent to nine sprites, and you should have a budget of thousands of sprites on a desktop machine.
Did you test across a range of browsers? Do they all perform the same?
You should share a minimal .capx showing the issue so we can play around with it ourselves. Otherwise we're just guessing.
Are you using Chrome? It probably depends on the browser settings - some browsers for example will use a certain percentage of your overall disk space as cache. You might also want to delete things from inside the browser settings as well, since randomly deleting files could break the browser...
It means you're using either loads of objects or loads of WebGL effects. All you can do to reduce the draw call time is reduce the objects or effects you use. Sometimes it's faster after exporting though.
We don't plan to support this. The Particles object can render faster than using the same number of Sprites partly because it doesn't support rotating the images (it uses WebGL point sprites). If you want something like this, a better workaround is just to spawn lots of sprites with the bullet behavior.
Henry Hoffman - one of the developers of Mortar Melon, a top Construct 2 game on the Windows 8 store - has kindly offered to help clean up the spam and maintain law and order on the forums as a moderator. Welcome to the moderator team thehen!
We're working with Microsoft to fix some of the broken shaders - hopefully by the time it reaches general release we'll have everything working.
Is this in iOS or Android? You need the 1.4.3 update which I think only the Android version is updated to right now. Hopefully iOS will be updated as wel shortly.
Well, I've tried to get in touch with Steam. I'll keep you posted on the issue.
So did that fix it? Out of interest which one fixed it? The registry or Windows Updates?
For the back button, use the Browser object's new 'On back button' trigger.
I think you should stick to using the Tizen IDE, but the Tizen forums and guides are probably better places to get help.
That's very weird. I can't imaging anything Construct 2 could be doing to be creating windows. Especially given it involves display glitches, I'd be tempted to say it's a graphics card driver issue...
You don't need the "javascript:" part at the front. Your game will also crash on non-browser platforms like CocoonJS that don't provide a window.print function, so you should check the function is there before you use it, as in: "if (window.print) window.print();"
Are you guys still having instability issues with r146? Is it just the crash on exit or other issues as well?
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Can you describe in more detail exactly what you are trying to do, the exact text of any messages, and where and when they appear?
