An amazing and interesting puzzle game for kids!
  • UPDATED 25.10.15

Latest test version can be played here. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/159885981/pb34b/index.html

This is a Puzzle Bubble type game.

    Test Game

There are currently no real graphics, no effects and no sound. It's just the core game mechanics with a few power ups.

There are only a half a dozen test levels so far, the rest are blank.

You will need a browser which supports webGL and have it enabled. Chrome recommended.

Aim with the mouse, left click to fire a bubble. Right click to enable cheat mode which enables you to see where the fired bubble will land. Right click also allows you to use special abilities if you have collected them.

    feedback appreciated.

  • I thinks it's a pretty good start. Seems to nail the game play very well :) No complaints on the beta version :)

  • Works really well, congratulations. I love Puzzle Bobble, and I think your game will be a great PB style game! <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Really nice work so far :). I felt that the blocks moved a bit too fast, but obviously that's completely subjective and you might have intended them to move at a fast pace. :)

  • Thanks for the feedback and the nice comments.

  • Pretty cool. Plays solid, and there are not really any bugs, i could find.

    Good work!

  • Nice begin! Keep posting updates to us. And if it's not a problem, share the .capx file :P

  • Simple, but nice and functional.

  • nice start to the game

  • Heres an update to the game.

    puzzle bubble Beta 2

Unfortunately i haven't had a lot of time to construct, but i'm still slowly plugging away.

    Small list of changes:

-Play area widened to allow greater variety of level / puzzle designs. (may get bigger when i eventually change game to a 16:9 aspect ratio)

-power ups are now solid like bubbles (before you could pass through them but i decided i didn't like this).

-Started work on some temp animations and effects to integrate the code into the engine, but still no graphics or sound.

-levels now progress automatically if you win or reset if you loose. Still only 5 test levels so far.

-new pointy arrow, but does not show rebound angles (need power up for that).

-rows drop down at different intervals depending on level now. The idea being on later levels they drop quicker to make the game harder.

    Will probably add score next.

  • Good job man!

Have you thought of introducing an explosive powerup?

(Blows up a small radius around the block!)

    Best of luck!

  • works great

    love the animations

  • Ethan,

Its really cool, can you share the .capx file.

  • Ethan - awesome job man. Can't wait for your finished product.
