Maybe you should ask Ashley , he will answer that.
But im sure if he isnt that into it, Sheffield will do it ;)
Would be cool to be able to use things that every other steam game can do!
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
can't this be part of C2 to registered developers, like the WiiU export?
Just a bump to see if there's an official response on NodeWebkit / Steamworks support for C2?
+1 interested here!
I'm also very interested!
My game is nearing completion, and I plan on releasing to Steam. Consider me interested!
Ashley Any thoughts?
I think it can be a problem that the greenworks plugin does only work with the old 0.8 version of node and this would restrict you in using other plugins that might not work well with that version.
But I keep my fingers crossed that someone (maybe Ashley ?) is able to fix this problem and make it possible
Also very interested.
The game I'm working on is designed for PCs, not phones. I want to see Steam get the support it deserves as the best way to sell games for non-mobile platforms.
I gave it a shot, but it looks like Greenworks isn't compatible with the latest version of node-webkit. This will make it a little trickier.
OK, so basically both V8 and node.js have made lots of undocumented breaking changes lately. I've tried updating the Greenworks code myself but I just get loads of random errors and I cannot find anything at all on how to fix them. I think it might have to wait until the next version of node goes stable when they presumably will provide documentation on how to update plugins.
