  • hmmm. I know this is messy, but for now, you have to download the versions you see on each page as you go through the tuts

I never updated them all to work with the latest version

let me know if this was your problem

  • also, not rushing just making sure I didn't miss it, but that new chat version, that's not up yet right?

  • oh, well... not as embarrassing as I originally thought, but:

    sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/construct/index.php

xenox posted a working link in another thread:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/34306693/ghostshootertut.zip

personally I think that should still be the most prominently featured tutorial on the site. I think it's really one of the best introductions you can get to cc's power and workflow

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • the links on the main site are 404'd, it's embarrassing

  • I don't think selling a cc/c2 plug will help me quit my job. The very first time I sell the plug, I forever lose my chance to make the only game that does these types of things. I feel you though, I don't plan on finishing a game any time soon, and I plan on basing the whole thing around my limited time, and making a procedural game that makes a lot of itself. Or maybe an episodic game so I can work on a few levels, and sell that, work on a few more, etc.. I have a few ideas.   I'm keeping options open though. Nothing is set in stone. Also....tech demo might be a tad bit longer than kinda soon. I want to get some patents pending first. The good stuff this engine can do isn't even hinted at in those alpha vids

  • I definitely appreciate the love gameforger, but for now the plan is not to release this as either a free or commercial engine, and just use it for my own games until I've established a business that pays my bills. At that point, ill reevaluate things, but for now the most likely scenario seems like free to make characters and things, and levels once that part is done, and save them and share them, but not be able to export them to be used as in game assets in c1 or c2, or export animations to video, without purchasing a license.

  • Feel free to post that or use it, wgrace.

  • WOOOO!!! I know it's a late reaction, but man, this is an awesome show indeed. visually awesome, and funny.

  • hi.

  • I'm using editbox for an editor and I destroy it after using it, and recreate it when I use it, as newt said, and that works fine. I had forgotten about it until you said it, but I ended up doing it that way because of the glitch you're talking about. I think after typing in it, it never gives back control of the keyboard or something annoying. but yeah, create and destroy works fine.

  • Kind of reminds me of Sega Genesis for some reason, cool effect!

that's because that's what sega cd's ultra compressed fmv's looked like

btw, what are those weird doughnut explosions above the tank?

    and cool effect

  • Oh, when I saw ashley posted, iwas hoping to learn how he first heard about scirra
