  • I always pronounced it skeruh

  • Wow. Welcome.   If you're serious. Aside from what you mentioned. The number 1 problem is IDE instability.   Usually seems to crash when you're attempting to select events, and accidentally select more than one(which is a problem in itself), and then accidentally edit an expression or collapse an event. In situations like that it crashes often.

The biggest new feature everyone has wanted I would say is network play. If you added some type of flexible networking plugin. Everyone would love you forever

  • both are interesting...

    and I love math.

  • yeah, I agree with wgrace, if it could be a great metroid game, it could be the great beginning of a new franchise. there's no reason you can't come up with a good original setting, and weapons, and such, and come up with a great story. it's not like the market is saturated with metroid quality games. if you don't write good stories, team up with someone who does. I'm sure there are plenty of artists, writers, and such who would work with you with what you bring to the table

  • Try Construct 3

  • Some id like to see are sound notification on any msg, or on name mention. Flashing the tab upon activity, along with the name changing to "people said stuff", or "your name mentioned"

Also, it'd be cool if we could get the whole buddy thing integrated, so we could have a 2 friends are in chat thing at the top.

I like how its so much like a basic page though, the way it just loads and starts with no script booting hiccup, and no irc logging stuff

  • wooo!

makes me want to try out construct 2

  • If you want to remember the same target and home on it even when others get closer you could do it like this

Make missle have a private variable called target, with a default of -1

    For each missle,

------if target is equal to -1

-----------enemyfamily. - pick closest to missle.x,missle.y

    ------------------missle, set 'target' to enemyfamilt.uid

    For each missle

------if target is not equal to -1

----------enemyfamily, pick by unique id missle('target')

-------------------missle(with bullet behavior). Set angle toward enemyfamily

This would make each missle target one enemy and stick with it till the end, though it'll be a bit trickier if you don't want two missles to ever target the same one

  • there's a cap for that!

  • Yeah, if you do mean "for each object"

Then it automatically picks each object one at a time, and any actions referring to that objecttype in that event are automatically executed on the currently picked in that loop
