Yeah just get good with using Construct, before worrying about the network thing!
Is this a possibility for objects? It's kind of tiring always having to use variables when all you want to do is to just easily toggle between an 'on' and 'off' state for sprites etc.

The pulse is nice, however do you think it could also benefit from some other effects?
They both look fine to me, they could easily be two different areas of Zebes or whatever. It's not so much the subject but the art style itself that's going to unify the look of the game.

While Castlevania SotN is a great game, I think that would ruin what the metroid series is all about.
This game looks like so much fun to make.. argh

Don't worry, I figured out that when you have the event "selection changed" you can then go "minimise" and then "maximise" quickly and the events will start working again!
