  • There's nothing much I can do if I can't reproduce the problem. Can you find a more reliable way to reproduce it, especially on an iPad Air 2? In exceptional circumstances we can purchase a device to investigate a bug report, but that is pretty expensive.

  • Okay, so a small update: I had a call with someone on the Xbox One team last week. Basically due to NDAs/legal issues they weren't able to say much, but:

    • Microsoft are still working on this
    • they hope to have something ready in future (no idea when really)
    • they noted it is actually already possible to publish Construct 2 games to Xbox One, but it's difficult right now - this was news to me!

So you probably can publish Xbox One games already, if you sign up to ID@Xbox, it just sounds like it involves something pretty hacky. I am still clueless as to what they are actually working on though.

Xeeko - I have no idea what their security requirements are. If they told me what they needed, I would definitely consider doing it so we can support Xbox One. However given I have no idea what these requirements are, and that Microsoft appear to have made no effort to communicate to me what they are after repeatedly applying, *and* in the past they've more or less said they're actually just too busy, then I think saying "blah blah security blah" is just a way to put off the question for the time being...

  • It's easier to help if you don't use third-party addons, since 1) I don't have to go and find the right addon, which often ends up being a different and incompatible version to the one you used, and 2) it eliminates the chance the problem is caused by the third-party addon.

Just looking at the picture, I don't think that trigger is going to work like you think. Triggers in subevents check all their parent events are true, but the "else" is checked on its own without referring to previous events in that case, so it probably doesn't do what you want.

It looks like right now new folders can't host HTML, but old existing folders can. I would guess this is Dropbox's way of phasing it out gradually without breaking too much at once. I would guess it is only a matter of time before they turn off existing folders too, so probably time to start re-hosting content if you're using that...

This is really annoying - I have some bug reports filed with browser vendors that use public Dropbox HTML

  • If you want the public IP address, the only way is to ask a server on the Internet to tell you what your outside address appears to be. You can do this by AJAX requesting a server, e.g. https://api.ipify.org (note: I don't know if that site has rate limits or accounts or what, it just demonstrates how it works)

  • You could try reporting the issue to the browser vendors, as described in the bug report guidelines.

  • Thanks for the report, should be fixed in the next build.

Note for AJAX requests, the "request project file" worked previously, this bug only affects "request URL" with a relative URL.

  • Can't reproduce an empty images folder - exports just fine for me. It also works just fine for me in the iOS XDK simulator, but:

    1) there's not much point using that - just test in C2 and then use the XDK to publish and test on a real device

    2) if you have issues with the XDK, please report them to Intel, not us

  • Sorry, the browser implements CSS styles, not Construct 2, so there is nothing we can do about this. Closing.

  • Can't reproduce: ran it on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 10.0.2 and it worked fine.

You didn't describe your export options so I used WKWebView, btw.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Sorry, CSS styles are implemented by the browser, not Construct 2, so there's no way we can fix this. Closing.

  • Ha, that is a silly bug. I could reproduce, and found it's accidentally running some export code in preview mode which created the folder when you preview. Should be fixed in the next build, thanks for the report.
