  • It's correct in landscape. In portrait it's rotated, but in that case it's kind of correct - you had rotated the actual physical camera, which presumably returns images with a fixed orientation, so the image returned is rotated.

Most software on iOS probably auto-rotates images somehow, maybe by using image metadata in the photo? C2 doesn't have access to that info I don't think. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug or not, or if it ought to be Safari that returns a rotated image instead.

  • I tried installing their basic version from their website, then I opened Space Blaster in C2, then started up TeamViewer. Didn't see anything go wrong, C2 stayed responsive and didn't crash. Maybe there is some incompatibility specific to your system?

I'll try get an updated greenworks out with support for 0.19. Looks like there's a release that covers it here: https://github.com/greenheartgames/greenworks/releases/tag/v0.8.0

  • You didn't answer the question - does it still reproduce with letterbox scale (not the integer version)?

400x240 doesn't fit exactly in to a 1920x1080 display, so the black borders are to be expected in that case. On the other hand if the resolution does fit that exactly, then there should be no borders. So to figure out which one is the bug, what is the resolution of the device you are testing on?

Also one thing you can do to find out more: display the Browser plugin's WindowInnerWidth and WindowInnerHeight expressions on the screen and see what they say in both cases. If they change, it's probably a browser bug, and is caused by the browser telling C2 the wrong window size. On the other hand if they're always the same even in both cases, it's probably a C2 bug. Could you give that a shot?

  • Closing, nothing we can do without a .capx. The bug report guidelines describe what to do to make sure you can share a .capx, please read them.

  • This looks like a bug in the Edge browser: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/8471221/

Closing as this bug should be followed up by Microsoft at that URL.

  • I think the problem is you use "save game" and "go to layout" in the same event. "Save game" can take a few ticks to complete - it's not done until the "on save complete" triggers. But you change the layout before then. I assume you are intending to save the state for the current layout then go somewhere else, but you're probably actually switching layout before the save happens, therefore saving the wrong layout.

Closing as likely a mistake in the events. If you can still reproduce a problem when ensuring saves complete before changing layout, then please file a new issue.

  • Works just fine here with the latest NW.js 0.19.2.

Note preview and export use separate storage, so if you save in preview and then load after export, there isn't anything to load. You have to save with the exported version first.

  • WebGL texture memory is created and released instantly by the engine itself. It only updates when changing layout, so if you destroy all instances of an object, they are kept in memory (on the assumption you may create more later on) until you change layout, at which point they are released so long as they're not also used on the next layout you're going to.

Memory management basically works by entire layouts. The engine tries to avoid creating or releasing textures while the game is running, since that can cause pretty bad jank.

  • The Intel XDK ignores config.xml. C2 puts the WKWebView configuration in to the Intel XDK files that you said you deleted. Why are you deleting them?

You can also upload it to PhoneGap Build, where it does use config.xml, which should also specify to use WKWebView.

  • If you use separate sprites, and put each sprite on its own layout, the C2 engine will only load one at a time.

The WebGL texture memory is explicitly released by the engine - GC does not play a part.

  • It depends on your host. You should talk to them about it. If you can remote desktop in to the server, you should just be able to run the EXE like normal.
