  • It's not a bug. Non-static local variables reset their value every tick, so setting their value after a wait doesn't really make any sense. In your case you should make the local variable static so it keeps its value persistently and so changing it after a "wait" makes sense.

  • Audio needs to be in WebM Opus format (.webm). It's the only format supported in all browsers and platforms. If you use any other format it's not guaranteed audio will work. Your project uses .wav files directly.

Normally when you import WAV files Construct encodes them to WebM Opus automatically for you. See the Import Audio dialog in the manual for more details.

  • We recently made a series of changes to how splash screens are handled on mobile. It was all explained in the release notes at the time.

  • It should be working. We have thousands of customers and as far as I'm aware it's working fine for all of them. Try clearing your browser cache and re-trying in case there was some kind of issue with your connection when first loading the preview.

For any issues with payments we can only help you if you email supportneb@construct.net.

  • It's not really clear what's going on here - mobile platforms show a splash before the Construct engine has even managed to load and show its own loading screen. So there's the splash which always happens, and the loader which depends on the loading options you've set for the project.

  • I can't help you with third-party addons, they are the responsibility of their respective developers.

  • Back in January I outlined our plans to essentially unify the NW.js version with the browser version, moving to a simpler and easier to maintain model using identical code in both. This has now taken effect so both are basically the same now. Chrome with the new native file system features can now do most of the file access that NW.js did, so you don't need NW.js for that any more. The permissions model is different, so you may have to find an alternative workflow, but there should be options there.

  • Navigating to a URL opens a new tab for me, which means it's subject to the browser popup blocker. The popup blocker usually blocks any attempt to open a new window/tab that isn't inside a user input trigger. So you can't automatically open a popup/tab on startup, but you can upon touching a sprite.

  • This doesn't appear to be anything to do with Construct. Ludei are a different company, it's probably something to do with their addons and services... but IIRC, they shut down.

  • Note it sounds like this change was postponed to early next year, so there's plenty of time to adapt to the change.
