You can submit HTML5 games to sites like Kongregate, but I checked with them and they aren't quite ready to accept them yet. Hopefully they'll be taking them in the near future.

I think iOS might limit you to only playing audio when the user performs some action.

So you might only be able to play audio in an 'on object touched' / 'on touch start' event. Try playing some audio in one of those events... it's not using the browser to play audio (it's PhoneGap's Media API) but I guess maybe the same limitation applies.

OK, thanks everyone, I guess I was wrong and somehow the graphics card affects this! Crazy!

Now I know this I'll go over the code again and see if I can find the problem... it's a crazy problem, the event sheet view is software rendered! I didn't think it used the graphics card at all :P

I think Chrome pauses, and Firefox starts running one tick every second (1 fps) to give the app a chance to stay up to date. For games it's not very useful though - in the latest releases of C2, if it spots it's going at 1 FPS it sets dt to 0, effectively pausing the game (so long as your game is framerate independent).

Note r66 is out now, so it might be worth trying with that.

Try Chrome 15, that now has hardware acceleration and it might work. If you're on XP obviously you can't try IE9 which is a shame, because that's always had one of the most robust and fastest canvases...

It's unlikely to be related to the graphics card - the event sheet view is software rendered. Only the layout view uses OpenGL and hardware acceleration.

I tried on my XP virtual machine (32-bit, SP3) and it worked fine there too.

Is it working OK for anyone? I guess only people with issues come and post, maybe it's only affecting a small number of people? (I guess it's pretty obvious so you'd come to the forum right away if you had it)

Not sure where to go from here - I really need a repro my end to fix it.
