These are centered around Internet Explorer, so doesn't mention the speed boost you get from WebGL nor Chrome's much better Web Audio API. Just so you know :)

This is by design. You've added the object type, but not any object instance. Adding an object type in the layout view gives you the opportunity to place an instance in the current layout, but in the event sheet view there is no layout so no instance is placed.

You should be able to fix it by drag-and-dropping the object from the project bar in to a layout.

Why not use the built-in export to PhoneGap and use PhoneGap Build to compile it? That's the only way we officially support it.

'Play sound' should work, but 'Is touching' is true every tick so you're probably trying to play 60 sounds a second while touching the sprite which might overload the audio engine. Try 'On touched'.

1. See supporting multiple screen sizes, you should never hard code a screen size.

2. Try adding the AppMobi object and using the 'Set auto-rotate' and 'Set orientation' actions from there.

I think the best thing to do is hope consoles start supporting HTML5. Everyone has their favourite console, and it's far too much work to think about porting our engine to every console out there. If they support HTML5, then we can get games on them without doing any extra work.

I think this is a case where using another tool is actually appropriate. For example you could use Microsoft Word to write and share notes about your game, and that's a much much more advanced and nicer to use text editor than we'd ever put directly in to Construct 2. So I think it actually works better to have separate tools specialised to their own purpose.

kbfc00 did you try it? What you described should work fine. Arrays can store and return either numbers or strings.
You generally don't need to convert the types of values. Construct 2 will do it for you.

MakkaOleba - how about a multi-tagging system? If you could use spaces to separate tags then you could tag sounds like "background sfx1", "background sfx2", "main gun1", "main gun2". Then you can manipulate all background sounds by the tag "background" or still one individual one by "sfx1".
