    I'm trying to follow a ledge climb tutorial https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLClYkAqkRMPzG14re_c9uDkNDRKDM-YaD and while it works, i can't quite figure out why the animation seems to jump and flicker when the animation finishes?

    I've shared the drive folder with my project, so hopefully that helps?

  • So, the player character in the game I'm making has one arm, so the animations can't be mirrored for controls.

    However, I'm having trouble making the 2 sets of animations work without weird errors and difficulties.

    Does anyone have any advice?

  • i tried these (put the orgin point at the bottom and made sure it spawned on a layer with no parallaxing) and the problem has continued,

    not sure still whats making it do this since i have other sprites that spawn with no issue?

  • the npc doesnt have any animation its just a test sprite for me to test the prompt on,

    i tried instead using the coords of the exact spot i wanted it in and it still put it in a weird place?

    im sure ive made a stupid error somewhere but im confused as to how haha

    ive had a weird issue where i cant get this sprite to spawn about the npcs head correctly?

    I've put images to show that I've put the image point above the head but it spawns below the floor.

    anyone understand why that's happening?

    I needed to deactivate the player control group so the events wouldn't conflict! thank you dude

    not different image points i dont believe? all the animatation have the origin points in the same spot and the collision boxes are also the same.

    do the collision boxes have to be the same for all frames and all animations when swapping them? eg does the idle need the same collision boxes as the jump/hang/climb/run?

    I have it so all frames in an animation have the same collision boxes but not all animations hav the same collision box if that makes sense?

  • Im following a tutorial by Marlin on youtube (Construct 3 Tutorial #3 - LEDGE CLIMB - Ledge Climbing) and I'm trying to get the animation to play.

    what keeps happening is when I test this and press space to trigger the animation it cancels it and I drop from hanging onto the ledge.

    I believe that its trigger once that's causing this bc when I don't have it i can hang onto the edge fine (the animation to climb just wont play or does very fast idk)

    If anyone has a clue if its actually trigger once that's causing this and if there's a way to solve it that would be wonderful!
