  • Mine app is a background type of app. It works i that sence that it has its internal timers that start certain actions. So app it self is not needed to be visible all the time. In fact that would be considered invasive. Its not a game but user application.

    Do you have any tips how to detect sleep/wake windows cycle and how to get her to continue working?

    I need some help with my Windows app.

    It's working through a day mostly sitting quietly in the task bar.

    It's running as expected, but when pc goes to sleep overnight it won't continue.

    Just sits there frozen, quiet, until I touch it...

    I'w tried some chatGTP advices like time counter so when it detects large time difference it means it was asleep, and it restarts itself... but timers are also asleep so that is not doing anything...

    Any ideas, please.... I'm loosing nights over this... :(

    When i go from one layout to the second one and back, on my first layout i still see immage from the second layout... 🤔

  • No, I don't work with notifications. I just make that as an example. I need to wake my app, and I am looking for the way to do that. Unfortunately it can't be time based (that would be easy to make) because my users work in different time frames and they just shut the lid of the notebook and open it the next day... so how do I detect that they are active again in order to reactivate my app.?

    That's what's troubling me.

    any ideas?

  • Well, mine app works in a sense to popup certain time and alert user on certain actions. Like calendar that sends message on certain timer. But since users just close the lid of notebook I need to wake up my app once user is back and I was thinking to maybe detect keyboard activity to resume apps function.

    I am looking for a way to detect user activity while my app is minimized.

    It seems that e.g. mouse - on any click works only within the app window, but I need somehow to detect users activity generally while my app is not in focus.

    Any tip is more than welcome.

  • Yes, I also love Constructs event sheet system. It stays well organised in bigger projects.

    Only thing that interested me is their 3D system and it seems realy easy to use... atleest on promo videos :)

    But engine is realy pricy.

    I just found out that buildbox 3.0 has full 3D capability.

    Did anyone worked in it? Is it any good? How is it in compare to C3?
