    If i'm full time game maker, I wouldn't mind subscription base, but for a casual user, I can't see myself paying 12 months and only use 3 months. If they have to go subscription base, they'll have to come out with some plan to cater casual user.

  • What's the best way to publish iOS & Android in late 2016? This is the question I have to ask everything I left C2 for a few months, is XDK the way to go? or Cocoon io? or something new? I try to look up on tutorial, there are no new tutorials since 2014...

    rely on 3rd party export sucks, I really hope scirra can develop their own iOS/Andorid export. As a casual game maker, I'm having hard time to keep track of new export method...

  • Problem Description

    C2 conflict with Wordpress Lightbox plugin

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Step 1: Export as html5 project
    • Step 2: Copy codes to wordpress header(where my C2 interactive piece is)
    • Step 3: C2 part works fine, but Lightbox plugin stopped working

    Observed Result

    Tried various Lightbox plugins, includes Simple Lightbox, Slimbox, WP_Lightbox 2, none of them works anymore, from what I found on others discussion, it should be conflict between C2 javascript and Lightbox, it's quite an essential plugin for wordpress, any way to make them coexist?

  • Agree with project based instead of monthly, for casual game developer like me, it's a waste to subscribe for a year that I probably only use the service for 2 or 3 months.

    This is going to impact C2/C3 as well, I can't see myself upgrading to C3 if there's no reliable mobile compiler. :/

  • If you are using Canvas+, it might be related to the Lazy load property.

    I guess lazy load is good for larger games, but would be great to have some sort of layout loader for it, like showing a loader when going to an unloaded layout?

  • I haven't make games for awhile, things have changed, my old preloader used to work fine is now broken without any modification.

    So I guess something must have changed in C2 or CocoonJs to make it stopped working, the loader screen shows no progress, jump right to 100% at start, and when I go to other layout, I can tell it's loading as it changing layout, so the preloader doesn't work anymore.

    Can anyone guide me on making a working preloader? thanks in advance

  • I'm working towards publishing my first game on Android, from the Google Play APK setting page, I can choose what devices my game can run on.

    I could set all(over 9000 devices), but I'm afraid it would run crappy on slower devices, that leads to bad rating.

    With little experience with android devices, what's your recommended supporting devices for a C2+Cocoonjs game?

  • I've tried compiling apk with Cjs2.1 & 2.1.1, the result come out differently, both has problems.

    I notice some thin grey/black lines at the edge of some of my sprites, almost like a drop shadow, it's clearly visible on v2.1.1 apk. The problem seems to be better on v2.1 but not completely resolved.

    I don't understand why this happens, it's my first time compiling for android. Testing with Cocoonjs Launcher don't have such issue, issue only affect cjs could compiled apk.

    Anyone else also experience this? Any solution?

  • Well since Is Logged In is a trigger, what you might want to do is just leave it as a stand alone event and set a variable. I do something like

    Is Logged In - Set loggedIn = 1

    Then use that variable (loggedIn) in your function instead.

    ArcadEd yeah this will work, thank you! but wouldn't this checks Is Logged In all the time? I missed the old cjs where I can just do it in function, and i can trigger the function whenever i need.

  • I think it's normal, what are you wanting to be able to do? Are you wanting Is Logged In as a sub event of the function? That event is a trigger.

    ArcadEd i'm trying to convert my old game to new cjs plugin, which i have a 'gameover' function, triggered that function at end of each game, checks "Is logged In", if true, submit score.

    i was able to add that condition in old built in cjs before, thats why i thought its broken, maybe im doing the events wrong?
