  • Just for some extra ideas, other tools use the names: scenes, rooms, frames, stages

Maybe you could use a translation of an alternative term like those.

  • Welcome to the Spanish translation forum! This is a place for all translators involved in the Spanish translation to discuss the translation, such as consistent terminology, any mistakes or alternate translations, and so on. To get started, see the thread How to help translate Construct 3.

It's important for translations to use consistent and accurate language. In some cases there may be a number of possible translations. This forum exists to help translators co-ordinate and come up with consistent rules and terminology for translating Construct 3. Sometimes translators may want to make alterations to existing translations; please discuss such changes here and come to an agreement before changing existing translations.

Please note our forum rules require everyone to post in English. We are willing to make exceptions for these translation sub-forums specifically, but we would encourage posts here to be mainly in English anyway, since English is the reference language for translation. However we recognise some cases it may be more appropriate to simply post in Spanish.

Thanks for your help bringing Construct 3 to Spanish users!

The French translation is now essentially complete. The vast majority of it was translated by KYATRIC. However it will still need regular maintenance as we make updates to Construct 3 over time. Other users may want to make alterations to existing translations; please discuss such changes here and come to an agreement before changing existing translations.

  • We've now opened forums for translators! Hopefully this will help co-ordinate translation efforts. I moved this thread to the new translation forum.

  • I've noticed a new kind of mistake: the "translated-name" key for expressions must be a valid expression, but translations are often adding spaces or other characters that make it an invalid expression. I've added a note about how to handle that translation in the original post. I ran the new verifier on the Russian translation and it found 44 problems.

  • C2 was never designed for it to work. Maybe it worked by accident. "Check failure" errors are only displayed in beta builds so if you only ever used a stable build it won't have shown that it was throwing errors. C3 used the same approach but was stricter in its error checking.

  • Unless you are aware of the legal ramifications and any necessary patent fees involved in distributing proprietary codecs, you should just transcode your video to an open format like WebM VP8 or VP9.

If you just take that build and distribute it without considering this, you could be hit with fines in future and be forced to make back-payments for every download of your game.

  • Safari 11 has a DataChannel bug that causes connections to drop: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=173052

It should be fixed in Safari 11.1.

  • IIRC that only supported Windows, so is also basically the same as making a Windows Store app.

  • We haven't removed it from C2. It was never supported in C2.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I don't know why it's crashing, sorry. If it only affects your device you could release anyway. I wouldn't recommend using Canvas+, it has not been supported for over two years.

  • The only other cross-platform browser engine is Firefox, and I don't think it's architected to support a framework like NW.js, so it's not been done yet AFAIK.

Edge is Windows 10 only, so you may as well publish a Windows Store app (which you already can do). Safari is Mac-only, and I don't think it would be very interesting if you couldn't use it on any other platform.
