  If you want to pause the game, when snapped, just set the timescale to 0 and display a hidden layer saying something like "Paused". When unsnapped set the timescale back to 1 and hide the layer again.

  Updating should actually merge everything together. SVN never just steamrollers your work - if someone changes the same thing you changed, it will mark it as a conflict and ask you to manually determine what to use. However as long as you don't work on the same parts of the project at the same time, conflicts should be rare and everything should just merge silently.

  We're getting hit by a new kind of spam where (I think) human paid spammers bomb forums in real-time to promote events currently happening or about to happen. It can still be effective since if it takes us a few hours before we visit the site and clean it up then it can still get search traffic.

  I've cleaned up about 200 threads today, which was the worst one to date. I'll be talking to Tom about what we can do to prevent it happening again, we've got some ideas.

  You should update before committing. Then SVN will receive everyone else's changes, merge them, and then allow you to commit a project including all the changes. If someone else commits, you then need to update yourself again to receive their changes and merge it in to your own local working copy. BTW I highly recommend using TortoiseSVN on Windows, it's a really nice point-and-click GUI which makes it all really easy.

  We get a large number of signups every day, so having to verify each one when we are already extremely busy is untenable. Spammers can do a fairly good job of looking legit in their signups anyway - like I say, a lot of spam these days is done by paid people.

  felixsg - most plugins don't work in 64-bit IE or Metro IE (in Windows 8) - I doubt either Chrome Frame or the IEWebGL plugins would work in either place. You're pretty stuck with those browsers. Chrome Frame should work well on IE 6-8 32-bit though.

  For the record, words like "boolean" aren't specific to Construct 2, and are actually in the dictionary with pretty good definitions ("of or pertaining to a data type having two possible values representing �true� or �false.�"). But I agree a glossary which brings all this together would be useful.

  Kyatric is right. The XML-based project format is designed to work nicely with source control systems like SVN. These allow multiple people to work on projects simultaneously, and then commit their work to the master copy (the server) as well as update to receive other people's changes. I've been meaning to write a tutorial on how to set it up...

  It's not actually a bug - your array is sized 0x0x0. When you push an item it's sized 1x0x0 = 0 items still, so it's still empty. Set the initial size to 0x1x1 and it works.
