The Official Introduce Yourself Thread

  • Hi there,

I'm Josef. I've worked on several games for different studios as a game artist and now I want to make my own. Just for the fun of it. I want to bring something new to games and create memorable experiences for others. I think developing games in HTML5 with Construct 2 is a great place to start.

  • Hello, my name is Chili. I am not very good at creating great games, but that is a goal for me. what I am good at right now is playing them.

  • Hello !

I'm Joskin, Game Designer working on Serious Game. I'm learning C2 for creating prototype and little game.

  • Hi <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I'm a computer science student from Dublin, Ireland.

Having made a couple of games for Android in the past using pure Java, discovering C2 was a pretty sweet experience. I can prototype and develop much faster and with far fewer headaches.

Also, my eyes don't get tired half as quickly when looking at C2s interface as when I'm programming in Eclipse or some text editor... which is nice <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Bought a personal license for now.

Very pleased with it, especially impressed with cocoonjs performance. Still has quite a few issues but is showing real promise.

    Anyway, nice to meet you all <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hey! My name's Mark. I grew up playing video games with my best friends and older siblings. Seeing how happy they make people is what has always excited me the most. And since then I've felt that it's my responsibility to help create new experiences and contribute to the game industry in some way.

I took a basic game design/creation course last fall for my first year of college. We were taught Game Maker 8. It was easy to use and I was able to complete a lot of projects without lots of unnecessary effort. I knew I liked working in that kind of environment so the next step to HTML5 and C2 felt right.

I'm most interested in Game Design, and I love artists and programmers!

  • Aloha, peoples!

I'm Deej. I've been a long-time lurker, but truth be told, I've not really used Construct all that much. I'm making it my new goal to change that.

My skillset sways more to the graphical/illustrative side, and I'm looking to connect with all you awesome creative types experimenting with C2 so that I can learn new things and maybe even collaborate.

  • Hello everybody! <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I am speaking of the Brazil, I'm hoping to get my key code to start working seriously on my projects in C2.

Currently I study Game Design and a specialization course in SAGA ART, I start developing my own games in C2 as my knowledge is more artistic. Programming not so good.

I hope in future to help their colleagues and to enlist the help of you too. ^ ^

    Thanks for reading!

  • Hi everyone :-]

I'm Chris/aka bodzio_stawski. I am interested in making games about five years ago. Mabye the first tentative plans for creating games I had earlier, but only later, thanks to the buying of a simple tool for creating games, I could begin to realize my dreams. But my creative process had been very chaotic. Planning the unrealistic, very hard (to realise) projects, each of which remained unfinished and displaced by the new ideas. My ambitions was gradually decreased, and the motivation to create was, unfortunately, less and less, but I still didn't part with game making. I met Construct, ever since the first mention of its formation appeared on the Internet. I remember they were the negative opinions in my country about this program - has been speculated that this program is very unstable and has no future, and that will never beat the commercial products (remember that in this time there weren't two versions: free Construct Classic and Construct 2; there was only one - free Construct beta). I tell you the truth, I do not even figured out when Construct defeated all rivals and became the best. I would like to associate my future with this software, and in the future may also get Construct 2, if my finances permit :)

Thanks to this hobby, I was able to become acquainted a little with indie games creating and 2D games generally, and do <a little?> progress in creating graphics.

Greetings to all, and all of you must know that I am wholeheartedly with your independent works, because it drives the "real art", free for a commercialism.

    Cheers! :)

  • Hello, world.

I'm David/RandomExile/Random/RE. I'm a technical writer and editor, and while my true gaming passion lies in adventure games (graphic, interactive fiction) and story-based RPGs, I have to confess to spending a measurable percentage of my childhood playing Raptor, Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, and others. My goal is to produce short, mechanically simple casual games with Construct, and experiment with a few less-supported genres.

    Cheers!

  • Hi everyone!, my name is jose. Im a producer for a small company in Caracas, Venezuela. my interest are the RTS games and the RPG ones. I hope you the best to all!
