  • Hello World !

My name is Pascal and I'm 35.

I'm a french creative director in a indie game studio and I'm happy to discover that wonderful game creation tool from Scirra team.

I've been "eating" videogame stuff since my first console : the CBS colecovision.

I have good skills on how to create a good game (10 years of pro XP), but... I'm not a coder at all ! And that's my problem when I want to test lots of ideas without annoying someone. That's why Contruct 2 attracts me a lot !

If you have any question about game design or game usability (very important now), I hope I can help. :)

But about how to "code" in construct 2, forget it. :(

    Kiss all, see ya.

  • Hi,

Mark here. I work as a PHP developer on a game and have worked with various programming languages so far. Flash was one of my favorite development environments, but with the arrival of HTML5, it seems that Flash will start to crumble.

I like making simple 2D games and I got really interested in Construct 2 as it is easy to understand, so I'm hoping to use it as a means to introduce my girlfriend to game development, as it's not as code heavy as most environments. Will probably be developing some plug-ins to speed up my development, but so far the program is really promising :D

    Regards,

    Mark

  • Welcome to the site everyone!

  • Well, since I joined in Sept, I guess it's about time to introduce myself.

My name is Scott. I am a Computer programmer who enjoys game design. I have written games (both 2d and 3d) in C++, Java and C#. With the advent of Html5, I wanted to convert a few of my games to a web format and post them online. I toyed with the idea of writing the code myself until I found Construct. Now, I use this amazing tool to do all the heavy lifting for me.

  • Hi, Im Aldo 36 Y/old, everything started with atari 2600 and atari computer. My very first animated stuff was some cartoon i made using gotxy(var1,var2) under a do while loop in Pascal to make fun of a classmate... she hated me and that costs me two days of suspension.

Made my very first payroll program at the age of 15 with gwbasic *sigh* Good old Days! :)

NEVER ever made a graphic game, only text ones, now im self employee doing near everything computer related, WebPages, IT CONSULTANT, Lan&Wans, Photo, Video etc in my country. Also speaks of technologies in Radio and some frequent appearances on tv.

I fell in love with this Scirra app and the forum, and being a clasic Geek, im pretty much hard to impress, but SCIRRA did it, and im going to give them my support.

Favorites in no particular order: Lemmings, The Lost Vikings ( when blizzards name was Silicon and Sinapse), Jil off the jungle, Wolfeinstein 3d, Flashback, Alone in the Dark 1, WARCRAFT1,2,3,4,5 etc. Command and Conquer... now im playing in my xbox360 and in the ps3.

Im pretty sure im going to make the next Angry Birds, im gonna keep you posted.

  • Hi, I'm Milen and my interest in games started ever since i can remember.

So I'm here, trying Construct 2 and studying your manual and tutorials..

  • Well, in hunt for another badge, here my introduction.

My name is Matthias - most people just call me Matt - and I am from Germany. My IT-background is vast but has never been within pure coding. With C2 my long dreamt idea of becoming a gamedeveloper comes into reach.

Due to a severe illness I am unable to execute my job as project and process manager and since half a year I am bound to a wheelchair. So I have quite some speartime to kill...and to play with C2

The other software I use regular is Reallusions iClone... which is greate to construct sprites for C2.

  • Welcome to the community everyone! It's good to see so many new face around here.

  • Hi, everyone.

Im Flash Developer and I know HTML5 is the future.

    Nice to meet you all.

  • 'lo everybody!

I've used Construct for years now(still without completing a single full game somehow). Could've sworn I signed up ages ago too. I'll probably spend most of my time here looking at the Wiki trying to figure out why everything I do seems to explode violently.

  • Hello folks,

I came across here last night and have to say I'm well impressed!! Don't yea just love HTML5!

Am currently using the free version (great teaser) and will be trying my hand at the more basic stuff for a while, will hope to upgrade later to the paid version.

Have only had a quick look around at some of the members work and me-thinks I've found a new home <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hello!

I'm Marco, Italian programmer and aspiring game developer.

I started using Construct 2 yesterday :D for the Ludum Dare competition (and I will post soon the result). Felt in love so I bought the standard edition.

  • Hi Harrio and thanks for the welcome, I hope to stay a while. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
