The Official Introduce Yourself Thread

  • Uhm, hello everybody!

I'm going to try C2 now! if i succeed in the making of a good prototype with C2 (wich is the one requested on the scolarship) i will get a 1 year of scholarship in game developing! Making games is my dream, I wish i can get to be a full time developer someday, now i'm on college, i study System Development and Analysis, i'm at the beginning and i already love it all! I hope C2 really helps me with that, if i succeed i'll be realy closer to my dream!

    Thanks

  • Hey, it's Jake

Been reading around the forum for some time and thought I might like to post. I have no experience in game design, but have a degree in graphic design, and hope to publish 2d games to the mobile market one day. I have come to realize that no game making software is "easy" and all of it will take allot of work even without traditional programming languages. I've also come to realize that HTML5 is the way of the future, especially since the death note has been signed for flash... and in favor of HTML5, no less. That gives me hope for the future of construct. I've been loosely following it's development for a few years now and am on the verge of becoming a paying client. After dabbling in code for a few days I'm not giving up, but sure would like to see some of my ideas rolled out prier to ten years of self teaching or four years of schooling. To be clear, I don't really want to remain in the "hobbiest" zone but my ambitions don't really involve 3d design. I'm concerned with spending the money for c2 as after some (much) research I've found that getting a game on a mobile platform seems like it will be allot of trouble, and that's really the target. Plus once one gets it there, getting it to run WELL is a whole other issue. And by the way, I'm dirt DIRT poor and work allot. So yeah, 120usd will actually hurt me, and I want a viable way to make some scratch on my creations. The few examples I've found run terribly on my device (android 4), and taking out all the cool webGL functions really hurts my feelings. Still, this has great potential. Looks like I'm rambling. Hey, it's 2 a.m., cut me some slack.

    thanks,

hope to get to know you guys and c2 better, soon.

  • Hi,

Just moved from Stencyl because flash seem to be not bright so much in the future.

I'm indie game developer, mainly field is code programming, but poor graphic, but still can draw out something acceptable.

Because I use Stencyl to make platformer game before. So I very familiar with event drive engine. C2 seem bit different. But I still can work around to achieve what I want.

Next goal is to create some plugin. It could make my life easier with C2. :)

  • Hey. Been using Construct for 1/4 years now. Pretty powerful stuff.

  • Hello World

Im excited to start using construct to develop some sweet apps and games. if there's anything to know as far as where the best place to learn cool techniques and great tips let me know.

  • By far the most amazing development tool I've come across... As a seasoned web developer this tools ability to cleanly integrate Ajax and web-sockets makes the prospect of making multi-player games a real possibility. You guys really out did you selves with this tool.

    Thank you

  • i am wcool master of all <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
