• Hey Tulamide! I actually used 3 of your loops for one of my game design class projects. If you want to check it out, you can here:

Credits and a link to your thread here have been put into the video description. :)

  • Thank you DatapawWolf for linking your work. I especially like the blue level with the mummies. The music fits as if it was made specifically. The game looks very good, btw. I always have to smile when seeing the mummy's movement, almost like a "thriller"-dance-move

p.s. Yes, you pronounced it correctly

I will definitely be awaiting more short loops from you. They are a great resource to have, especially for class projects.

  • Great loops! Nice range of genres too, something for every niche. Thanks for sharing.

  • 13 October 2013, Revision 6

Yes, there are 12 new music loops again! (Should I better refer to as "a dozen"?) A wide range of tempo, style and genre and 3 loops on request. I hope I didn't fail completely.

You can hear a demo of all new loops here

First post also updated. You find the download link in the first post, as always.

This time I want to especially thank Blacksmith for the sedulous work on the reviews. It's greatly appreciated! And to all others: If there are requests that fit into this series, just ask!

    Blacksmith

I hardly dare to ask, but would you...?

Who knows, maybe you'll find a really bad loop this time.

    ryackov

For the first two requests, have a look at "confident_8b" and "grieved_8b". For the banal office music, have a look at "bad_radio_4b"

Thanks a lot! Hopefully the new loops also please you

  • Hey tulamide, great to see another instalment of tracks. How did the ludum dare style music event go, I hope you had fun!

Thanks for the kind words, you even taught me a new one 'sedulous'! But it's really you that does all the hard work, I just have to sit here and listen.

Anyway on to the good bit! This is another fantastic set of loops, and you're just giving them away for free, what a bargin!

scorpion_8b - has a very ominous feel, the heart beat sound which runs through the piece, is particularly effective!

letters_8b - has a melancholy feel to it, almost as though it's trying to stay positive, but can't help being sad!

bad_radio_4b - is indeed reminiscent of department store "elevator" music, and would add a really nice comical element to a game! Perhaps while a character is impatiently waiting to move on to a new section/area!

bogart_4b - a very cool piece, with quite a dark feel to it!

diamond_broad_8b - and from the darkness into the light! diamond_broad is a really nice loop, and has a very positive 'new day' kind of sound to it!

diamond_narrow - follows on from diamond_broad very well, and both pieces really compliment one another! I do slightly prefer the simplicity of diamond_narrow though!

cascade_16b - this track had a strange, but appealing mixture of both sadness and hope, although I could be way off base? Anyway I though it was another very beautiful piece.

confident_8b - an upbeat sound, that gently builds as it progresses!

grieved_8b - shares many similarities with confident, but has a much more ominous feel to it! Perhaps summed up best by saying that, both confident and grieved seem to be two sides of the same coin (if that makes any sense)!

elephant_8b - firstly I must say what a fantastic name for a music track (conjures up all sorts of possibilities)! Great track with a very futuristic sound (has a real "Blade Runner" feel to it)!

mechanic_4b - has a very serious, driving and action-packed sound! Makes me think of a hitman styled assassin, hunting down his victims, with gun in hand!

rush_4b - another very fast paced, driving piece of music, with an underlying tension to it!

Hope I wasn't too far off the mark, you certainly kept me on my toes this time! Whilst all of the tracks were excellent, some of the pieces had a very mixed feel, and were difficult to classify!

Well we're getting a little bit closer to a bad track, at least you managed to get 'bad' into one of the titles this time

  • Awesome, Blacksmith

"two sides of the same coin", if you come to this conclusion I've done my job right. That indeed was the purpose.

If there is a bit of melancholy over all, it may be due to my general mood. I'm sorry for that!

    Thank you once more!

  • Hey tulamide! Thanks for more amazing loops! Next time me with the new ones. I wanna keep updated on your work! :D

  • Promised, DatapawWolf

  • Hey tulamide,

Sorry to hear that you're feeling a little down at the moment, I hope things improve soon :)

On a positive note, at least you can express your mood through your music. And it does give your tracks a true depth of feeling, which can be lacking in other music :)

As always, my pleasure to help!

  • Please and repeat please do not feel down.

    Your job is great.

I'm only sorry that I cannot use it at the moment.

If I will receive the ok from a custormer, i will use it in my new job.

I hope for the new year...

However, please, I repeat, continue to work because your music is really GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're a brilliant artist. I've been listening over all of them, trying to figure out what I could use the music for.

As a general suggestion: can you make "ethnic" music? Asia, Arabia, Africa, Latin. It's just a section or type of music I noticed you didn't have.

  • tulamide , As you requested, in my project, I have written "Music by Tulamide" along with the track name I used, but I have been including images in my "Credits" section. Should I use your avatar here on Scirra with the hedgehog flipping me off? :P Or do you have another image you'd prefer, or would you prefer no image at all?

    Thanks!

  • parside

Don't worry, it has nothing to do with music. Also, I never said to, nor will I, stop working on music

    ryackov

Thank you! Regarding ethnic music: I avoided it to date. The simple fact is that I can do music that pretends to be african, celtic, asian or whatever music, but it will never be the real thing. For example, I didn't grow up with the oriental quarter tone styles. I know how to technically implement it, but I don't have the feeling, the emotions that are neccessary to really do that kind of music. In "Omega", an abandoned project by -Silver-, I made a song based on celtic music. The song isn't all that bad, but I still think it is more tulamide than celtic

However, I will face the challenge. Let's see how it turns out.

    Jase00

Whatever you do, don't use the hedgehog!

Really, it is just an avatar, and it wouldn't represent me well as a musician. To be honest, I never have thought about some kind of "corporate identity", so it's probably better not to use any picture at all. I'm currently preparing the work on a website, where I will offer a lot more than just the loops. As soon as it is done, I'll have some icon or banner, etc., but I can't tell a date. So, yes, no picture at all should be the best way.

    EDIT

    Blacksmith

There's one thing I forgot: A loop called elephant. Well, this loop was created just from a sound structure I had in mind. When it was done, the stomping sound and the high notes somehow reminded me of an elephant

  • More I think about it, this should be stickied. Until then, bump!

tulamide, any more tracks and/or word on your website? :) I know it's only been a short while but I still enjoy being in the loop.
