20 high-quality 2D monsters. This asset is perfect for a side scrolling game, or even a turn based RPG type game.
  • If anyone still struggling to import the files to C3, first make sure you tick all of this in File > Other file actions > Custom Save Options > and hit apply

    After that make sure the entity name is not a generated one entity_000, and rename it to what you want, ie Player

    And then you can Save Project As > .scon not .scml (Make sure the file name is the same as the entity name. (Note. if you already had the same .scon file, don't overwrite it, delete it first.)

    And to zip it, you need to select all of the files not with the scml, and then right-click on the .scon file (IMPORTANT) and you can start .zip from there.

    After that, open your C3, open the layout for importing this, and make sure the layout is already connected with the event sheet (IMPORTANT). And just drag and drop the zip file into the layout canvas, and don't do anything until it's done. (Note. if you already had the same animation before, you need to delete the former event before importing a new one)

  • arcadesindo Do you know if this export method works with the "Folders" mode in C3?

    ("Flat" project mode will soon be deprecated.)

  • lucid Will there be update to migrate to Folders export mode? Currently addon doesn't work if it's used and as mentioned Flat will be soon deprecated.

    Also I would really like to know of any plans to support Spriter 2 instead of 1 considering the software has come a long way since then and is now a viable replacement of the original.

  • Hi, posting to make sure this thread doesn't get archived. And, lucid, the Addon SDK v2 is now out. You probably have some API you would need to mention to the Construct Team to get it supported since I believe the API is limited and only provided upon request.

    I updated Spriter to addon SDK v2 using 100% AI and its working here for me. However I don't even know a single line of code.

    I just provided all the information to AI which construct has given officially and it updated plugin.

    Care to share your experience/workflow doing this? I want to port a few sdk1 plugins to sdk2, I also would like to use AI to make plugins for my own needs if possible, but I haven't succeeded so far beyond a few simple webgl effects

    Please note:

    For legacy projects updating from a previous version of the plugin, if you're using self-draw, you'll need to click on the new property button labeled "Extract embedded atlas files" in order to make those objects visible.

    This is a (hopefully temporary) workaround for a function that's not in the new SDK. I've posted about it to let Ashley know, and we'll update the plugin to eliminate this requirement if and when the SDK supports the required function.
