Construct 3 Licenses Now On Sale

Simple yet very life-like rag doll made with Physics!

Hello. A quick question on the appropriate Construct 3 license to get.

I'm starting work on an indie game with one other friend. They'll be building the game using their Construct 3 Personal License while I create the artwork. I therefore only need to use Construct 3 occasionally to test the artwork as majority of my work will use other software.

Would his current Personal License allow logins from more than one computer at the same time for this kind of collaborative project?

Alternatively is there any advantage to him upgrading to the Business License? Or do we just need our own separate Personal Licenses?

Thanks for your help. New to Forums so apologies if I missed answers to this question in another thread.

Under no circumstances are you allowed to make use of his Personal License.

If all you are doing is testing gfx, then even the free version may be usable. The free version can open any size project - it just will not save after the 'free version limits' have been passed. But if all you are doing is inserting or swapping out 'placeholder' gfx for your own, then you could test and pass the gfx on when completed.

    Doesn't hurt to try!

Otherwise, separate Personal Licenses would probably be your next best option.

    Thanks for reply zenox98,

Thought this would be the case but good to hear I’m not missing any collaboration features already incorporated in my friend’s license before I purchase my own. We trialled the free version but felt the limits would slow down work flow in the long run.

Loving that Construct 3 is perfect for our project so I'm looking forward to getting my own Personal License and sharing our game with the community.

    Cheers, Ceri

"Customers who have purchased Construct 2 prior to February 1st 2017 will be eligible to a 50% discount on the first year subscription price for a license of the same type or lower."

This is said on the sticky on the construct 3 general chat.

Was going to upgrade but it only offers me discount on personal license though I have Early Adopter Business license from several years back, am I not able to have the 50% discount on the business license for construct 3 as it says license of same type or lower?

    Thank you.

Probably best asking Scirra directly when it comes to licensing. Email .

    Is there still a discount?

    Is there still a discount?

The discount is still available for licensed C2 users who have not claimed the discount previously.

    Thanks, I'll check it.

Is it good idea to begin with 3-th or it might be hard for beginners ?

I think it will be harder for beginners.

    That's sweet trolling.

I don't think Construct 3 is harder than Construct 2 since it is based on the same events system and is still aimed at people who never programmed before.

Go with the beginner's guide first and learn your way progressively.

The software is as hard as you make complex projects. So start with simple projects and make them more complex as you learn your way.

Where can I find the details on this discount?

Also do you mind leading me to a page where I can find details about C3's Straight to APK exportation system that they're been talking about? Tried looking in tutorials section but couldn't find what I was looking for.

SOrry. I haven't been here in while and haven't really kept up with the threads.

Seriously considering getting C3 now since a lot of these APK builders are paid for anyway.

Discounts from a blog (and many forum posts):https://www.scirra.com/blog/209/construct-3-plans-now-available-for-purchase

    Here is a link: https://www.construct.net/gb/tutorials/building-android-apps-apks-in-construct-3-19

    More info in manual: https://www.construct.net/gb/make-games/manuals/construct-3/overview/publishing-projects

Those who own a C3 license will likely be best at giving you experiential opinions ( I don't, so can't really help much with exporting).
