Why do you make the restrictions on the free edition so strict ? Please do the same as Construct 2 !!

They were looking forward to Construct 3. But Now, they must give up using Construct 3.

Understand RE Paypal. From our point of view we felt it was better to release with one option rather than delay everything so we could offer more payment options - I hope this is understood.

It is a very high priority for me to get Paypal support. I'll do everything I can to get it out as soon as possible but it is a very involved thing to integrate.

Unity is not completely free, from what I understand you have to pay a percentage from your revenue.

IMO, PayPal should've been your first choice to offer. Especially since people don't even need an account to use their credit cards.

Paypals API's are let's say challenging to work with and in my experience not documented particularly well. Stripe on the other hand is written beautifully and easy to work with.

The payment system is pretty sophisticated. I took the decision to go with the easiest to work with payment API first as it would be easier to design and test.

What about Bitcoin or LTC payment ?

They would add Dogecoin, but I hear it's pretty ruff.

LTC no, but possibly BTC via Stripe.

I see that I have a 50% discount for the first year on a personal license. However is it possible to switch to a startup plan instead and still get any kind of discount?

I would have thought it would be from the moment of purchase - whether in Beta or not is immaterial. You don't have to purchase it now, but if you do it would be on assumption that you understood you had purchased the product whilst still in Beta.

After all, you will still have all the licensed version only options, as shown in the following table: https://www.construct.net/gb/make-games/buy-construct-3.

This is just my opinion - I'm not a Scirra employee., but this is what I would expect If I purchased now.

Thinking of buy it also but not sure if licence ends 1 year from purchase time or 1 year from final release.

It's from the moment you chose to purchase it. If you're happy to buy during beta then do go ahead, otherwise you can wait until we're out of beta which will probably be in a few months.

Currently, we're really happy with the stability and usability of Construct 3. Compared to our first releases of Construct 2 we're lightyears ahead in that regard.

I bought it from day one and I did not regret it.

Despite on this moment it is still in beta, I can use it and build up my knowledge about Construct 3. That is on this moment the advantage I have.

Anyway in its present state, Construct 3 is very usefull. I came accross some small things which did not work as expected, however the majority of features works very stable.

Personally speaking, I am happy that I bought Construct 3 from day one.
