Crosswalk Intel XDK experiences

    with latest XDK i can not use my own splashscreen and icons, why? Do I Forget anything?

  • Raiper341 you'll see the settings for it under "PROJECTS" in the top left hand corner, then select your project, then the settings will be on the right hand side.

    szymek Yeah when I have some time I'll have to try my platform games (Deletion, Spooky Cats, Hover 2030) with the settings Silverforce recommended, it will be interesting to see how they run. I may keep those games running with CocoonJS since they rely a bit more on speed/FPS, but we'll see

  • So whats the deal with the new splashscreen sizes 960 x 720 on XDK? Can we change them?

    I know this, i set up my icons and splashscreens, but i do not see it after export, only default cordova icon...

  • Raiper341 Did you make sure that you selected the "Android-Crosswalk" tab when adding them?

  • the new system with icons & splashscreens is not really optimised

    the generated apk has a lot of additional splashscreens & icons included that you have no control and options to change

    there is a lot of redundancy, and bloating

  • We are working with Ashley for 'official' support for ads, payment, leaderboards, expansion files (for big games). But don't wait for us since cranberrygame's plugins seem to work well and I can't give you a firm date. I don't expect there will be any issues switching either way.

  • Well I can't install stupid Intel XDK on my brand new Windows 7 64-bit SP1 PC.

    I double click on the EXE and i see the splash screen for 2-seconds and then nothing happens, it doesn't install.

    If only C2 didn't defecate on CocoonJS then I would have a 2nd option!!

    Fantastic looking games Silverforce, I hope they make it big on the play store!

    So is implementation of IAPs on XDK as simple as using the IAP object in Construct2 and linking it to the play store in-app products in the developer console, or do you have to edit some settings in XDK?

    You need to get these plugins, its got a doc file that explains how to do it as well as example CAPX. Pretty straight forward.

    If you don't want to pay for it, you have to wait for Intel/Scirra to release officially supported plugins. Not sure when it will be available.

    Essentially these plugins implements Google's SDK so they work great.

    Thanks! I'd seen these plugins before but it's great to see proof they work in your games, will buy the IAP one!

  • IntelRobert can preview or debug from XDK run in fullscreen? Testing it via USB on my Galaxy S3, there is always statusbar visible on top of the screen and its screwing scaling of my game :/

    edit: and btw. is XDK working fine? I can't build anything :/

  • I support Crosswalk Intel XDK.

    So freed Phonegap Admob plugin and Phonegap IAP plugin.
