  • Dammnit, I just found it too. Sorry for the trouble.

  • Hello, I'm currently working on a platformer and I'm coming accross an issue.

What I need is simple. I need the player to jump higher if I keep the jump button pressed longer. (press quickly ->small jump; press longer ->big jump)

In Construct classic you could do this easily, though they've taken these option in Construct2, don't know why, unless I'm missing something.

Can someone help me on this?

    Thank you.

  • O dammit, I don't know what I did but it was suposed to be in the How do I section. I even though I had forgotten to post the topic since I could find it lol.

    Anyway thaks for the warning.

That's not quite what I wanted but I ended up solving it on my own, thanks ;)

  • Hell, It's been quite a while since I've used construct and I'm not really good at programing or any kind of coding.

I'd like to ask if anyone could help me with this:

    <img src="http://i36.tinypic.com/2s622w1.png" border="0" />

What I want is for the smiley face while keeping it's x postion change it's y position according to a path drawn by the mouse.

The obstacles will be moving towards the player and you kinda have to draw your way through them.

Anyone can help me on this?

    Thanks

  • It worked

It still does it a little bit sometimes but it's much better now.

    Thanks

  • Try Construct 3

  • Lol yeah you're right. It works now thanks

Btw, Is there an explanation for these?

I know it's because these are TiledBackground objects, but why does it do that?

  • I've tried to add sub events tu check if the player is on or not on the ground, but it's the same.

Anyway I'll post here the .cap file:

As I have it now the animation plays to fast because it is on 60fps try to lower the speed of the animation to 50 or even 59, it won't play.

By the way, the graphics are having some kind of problem as you might notice. Maybe you could tell me why it is doing that?

    Thanks

  • No, in the contrary it was set to low, but I tried diferent speeds and for some reason (which I really can't understand why) it only plays the animation if the speed is over 60... Maybe it's a bug?

  • Hey There. I'm having trouble setting my character's jump animation. I want him to rotate while jumping I have the frames done, however when the character jumps it only shows one random frame of the animations. Do you think you can help me?

Heres an image of the frames of the animation I want:

    Thanks in advance.

  • Looking really good

Looking forward to the final version

  • very nice game keep it up!

  • Can't do that xD
