The business license upgrade issue is something we currently handle manually since Steam users rarely ask for it and we'd need various Steam store changes to implement an upgrade path (and Valve don't always answer our emails...)

  • The game automatically pauses if it goes in to the background (e.g. pressing home button).

    Notifications and other overlays do not pause the game by design. I'm not sure apps can actually detect these events anyway. You should probably just provide a way for the user to pause the game themselves.

  • IIRC it comes up if your project uses ~1 GB of memory. That is so extreme that a wide range of hardware will not be able to run it. Isn't the warning well-deserved if your game risks hardly running on any player's systems?

  • What bugs would happen because it's running at a higher refresh rate? That usually improves things like collision accuracy, whereas lower framerates make it less accurate.

    I think generally if someone has gone and deliberately bought a 120 Hz monitor, they are probably technical enough to know they should have a powerful CPU to match the higher system requirements to reach 120 FPS rendering. They probably also want to have everything render at 120 FPS (otherwise why did they splash out all that money on a specialist display?). I think it would be very disappointing to override their decision and make the extra hardware useless and force them back down to 60 FPS!

  • It works here on Win10, I guess it's an issue with your Java installation? Are you sure you have Java 8 and not Java 7 or older?

  • Sorry, there is nothing we can do to recover a file if it is empty, and there is nothing we can do to fix the bug without the steps to reproduce the problem in the first place.

    All digital work is susceptible to loss from a range of issues from bugs to failing hardware. Construct 2 has built-in backup options to help protect you from this.
