From my tests:
- the loop gap reproduces in Chrome identically in r255 stable and r257.3 beta, so this does not appear to be caused by a change in Construct 2
- the loop appears to be seamless in Edge 17, so it appears to be browser-specific
- the loop also appears to be seamless after exporting to NW.js, so it appears to be specific to preview mode
- the loop also appears to be seamless in C3's preview mode
Chrome 66 stable also came out on April 17th, shortly before the report, coinciding with the r257 release. So despite the original report I suspect this is either an issue specifically with C2's preview server or Chrome itself. There's probably not much we can do about either (the C2 preview server uses a HTTP server built in to Windows), but based on the fact it doesn't appear to be caused by C2's code, and that you appear to have found a workaround anyway, closing.

Can't reproduce on a HTC 10 with Android 8. Issues which only happen on specific devices/platforms usually indicate a problem with that device/platform, not with Construct (since the fact it works in other places generally indicates our code is correct). Additionally having a tiny text box seems like a weird thing to do that real-world apps shouldn't need, so it doesn't seem especially important to fix or work around it. Closing.

I think this is a duplicate of https://www.scirra.com/forum/can-t-preview-on-ios-9-3-5_t203092, should be fixed in the next release.

FYI iOS 8 is really old now and only around ~1% of devices still use it. I can't guarantee that in future we will fix any issues that occur only on such an old version of iOS.

All user input triggers should count as user input events, whether they are on a sprite or on a button. If it does not work on a sprite, please file a bug.

Oh right - yeah, SwiftShader won't be used there. For simplicity I'm just deploying the same files to both at the moment.

Now the C3 runtime is in alpha we've started shipping Swiftshader with NW.js so we're ready it. (You can't export with the C3 runtime yet but we're ramping up in advance.)

Submissions like this are usually just mistakes in events and not really bugs. Providing a minimal project is the main way to eliminate the possibility it's just a mistake and prove it's a problem in Construct.
