This contradicts other reports that it happens in APKs (webview) or Instant Games (also webview). AFAIK Samsung Internet updates don't affect the webview... I'd guess that there was some other update that happened to coincide with the Samsung Internet browser update.
Google have responded to that issue and are asking for more details, so it would be good if anyone else affected can pitch in to help answer, and as ever, coming up with a minimal repro.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Kyatric filed an issue with Google here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=865946
It might be useful for anyone else who's been affected by issues with WebGL 2 on Android to post details there.
The C2 runtime throws that warning to catch accidental use of return value; instead of ret.set_float(value);. All that compatibility code will also have a high performance overhead. You have to change the rest of the addon anyway, including the way the expression methods are declared - since you have to do all of that, I don't think it's a big change to replace ret.set_float(value) with return value;.
return value;
ret.set_float(value);
ret.set_float(value)
We can't really afford to support plugins which go round tinkering in the guts of the engine. It's all internal engine details and we can change any of that code from release to release so it could make your plugin broken at any time. Also the principle of scanning existing events to detect things is a bizarre design and literally nothing else in all of Construct works like that, so I would strongly recommend you find another way to design your addon.
FWIW there is nothing Android-specific at all in the event system.
Construct's desktop exports use NW.js, which is based on the Chromium browser engine. So they're probably files used by Chromium.
It won't work in the C3 runtime either, because ret is not defined. So, sorry, that won't work at all.
ret
It's a trivial change - we've done it for all the official addons and I don't think it's really a big part of porting an addon.
Also posting in the suggestion platform seems pointless. That place looks abandoned.
I look at it daily.
valerypopoff - in the C3 runtime use this._runtime.GetAssetManager().GetProjectFileUrl().
this._runtime.GetAssetManager().GetProjectFileUrl()
See How to use loader layouts to make custom loading screens.
It's an expression, so use the System "compare values" condition.
I'm afraid somewhere along the line the email addresses for Chrystian Sales, Huemerson Leonardo Garcia and HenriPK have gone missing on POEditor. Please email me at ashleyuyf@scirra.com and I will arrange for your reward!
