  • Hi all,

Here's a beefed up and fullscreen version of the Ghost Shooter demo: (man, just can't get enough of ghosts and shootin')

I'm interested in framerates both restored and with the window maximized for Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer 9 on your machines, if you have them don't mind a quick test. (You can also hit F11 to go fullscreen on most browsers.) I believe both browsers should have pretty good hardware acceleration and so should run 30+ fps, hopefully! Right now I think all other browsers would struggle with it.

Let me know your results. I get 50-60fps on IE9 always, and only about 14fps on FF5 (because they blacklisted my driver so I don't get hardware acceleration).

  • cow_trix, tag your tutorial 'beginner', 'intermediate' or 'advanced' for each skill level.

  • If you click 'Ignore' or 'Retry', does it work? Sometimes those messages are ignorable.

  • Hmm... that looks to me like it might actually be a driver issue. Could you try updating your graphics drivers if you haven't already? Also, let me know the graphics card details in the about screen.

  • Valerien, Construct 2 can already use "fullscreen in browser" mode, where the window resizes to fill the whole screen. This means it will use the entire display regardless of aspect ratio or size. However, it's not perfect - it doesn't zoom or add black bars if you want to enforce the aspect ratio, so it's not ideal for going from a very small display to a very large one. It's something which has been a popular request since Classic so we'll try and come up with something, though.
