  • The moving angle is calculated as the angle between the position of the object last tick, and the position of the object now. So if the object is not moving, the positions are the same. So what is the angle between two identical points? It just returns 0 in that case.

You could work around it by storing the angle of motion in an instance variable - if you only set it in an event when the speed is not 0, then you have a variable which is the "last moving angle" which sounds like what you want.

  • How about sharing your .capx file?

Music doesn't stop when you change layout - you have to use the Stop action to make it stop when changing layout.

Facebook credits and Chrome Web Store payments should allow for monetization - we need to better support them though. Both can also do in-app payments which is a new and interesting area.

There are lots of ways to monetize Flash games at the moment - I'd expect to see these gradually shifting towards HTML5 in future as Flash seems to be on the way out.

  • Pode, isn't that done by passing it through AppMobi? If so, you could try using an exported C2 project with AppMobi.

  • I don't know if this is too pedantic, but you should use floor() with random() to generate random whole numbers.

    round(random(1, 3)) will give:

    1 to 1.5: 1

    1.5 to 2.5: 2

    2.5 to 3: 3

Note 2 has twice as big a range so is twice as likely to come up! If you want all numbers equally likely, use floor(random(1, 3)), which gives:

    1 to 2: 1

    2 to 3: 2

3 is now no longer a possible result, but at least 1 and 2 are equally likely to come up.

  • Did you use PhoneGap or just browse to the game on the device's browser?

Touch/mobiles don't generally have very good sound support yet, it's something we're still working on.

  • Construct 2 doesn't have built in support for some of those features, so you should expect anyone who quotes you to be including the cost of specialist javascript work to extend Construct 2.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • It works the same as Classic - global objects are only ever created once. If they didn't, and you didn't explicitly destroy global objects, restarting the layout would cause all the objects to pile up again and again! So it's up to you to recreate global objects after you destroy them.

  • 1) Unfortunately not, sorry - see the FAQ

    2) Possibly - we might look in to this in future, but for now a browser is probably a more convenient and cross-platform way to deliver your game anyway.
