  • I think you're seeing one of the following:

    • Vsync hiccups
    • Tiny garbage collection pauses
    • Low-resolution timer artefacts (fixed in Firefox 15+, Chrome 21+)

There's not much we can do about any of these part from wait for the browser improvements. I think these pauses are typical but show up more noticably in your example because it uses large, fast moving brightly coloured sprites.

It seemed better in Chrome 21 (Canary). Since there's nothing for us to act on other than waiting for browsers, I'm going to close this bug.

  • Try looking through Dropbox's help about creating shared folders. Remember every file must be shared for the project to work. Anyway, closing this bug report now.

  • Thanks, I think I found and fixed the issue (global objects could not be used on loader layouts). Please remember for future it's always best to include a .capx made from scratch (so the rest of your project is not necessary or shared) with full steps of what you expect to happen versus what you see happening.

  • Are you making a cross-domain request? If so have you checked the manual section on it?

  • pinastro - C and C++ don't work with HTML5. You can only use Javascript - unless you mean developing a browser plugin like Flash yourself, but that is a very difficult project.

  • You should use a separate image editor which supports alpha transparency. MS Paint doesn't, but Paint.NET does, and it's free.

  • Yep, that's what they do. You just need to pick the family icon when making the event.

Note in Construct 2 family instance variables work a little differently to Classic. In CC you would add the variable to each and every object in the family. In C2 you just add it once to the family itself, and all the objects inherit that variable, which is a little easier and more intuitive to set up.

  • You can cut and paste event variables between event sheets. When you paste it back to the second sheet all the events that disappeared should reappear again (providing the variable's scope hasn't changed).

  • You can take two approaches:

    1) Disable retina display in project properties, which will make the iPad 3 act as if it has iPad 2 resolution.

    2) Enable retina display, draw everything at high-resolution for retina, then use scale mode to resize down for iPad 2. I'd recommend this option since it will look better on iPad 3+.

  • Hmm, I guess the format of metro apps changed from the consumer preview to the release preview. Thanks for the report, I'll try to get it fixed for the next release.

  • I think I answered this in the other thread - you just need to put the project in a public folder, not a private one, like the tutorial advises.

  • Try Construct 3

  • — - it looks like you've uploaded to a private folder. If you follow how to upload your game to dropbox it notes how you need to upload to a public folder otherwise the game won't work. It still won't work if you upload to a private folder and get a public link for index.html, because it will only make index.html available and not any of the other many files required for the game to work. If you have further problems please link us to your exported project and start a new thread because I think the issue is different to the original one in this thread.
