  • This should be fixed in the next build as noted by —

As for general image editor improvements, we're open to suggestion - bear in mind we're not trying to reinvent Photoshop here, the aim is just to have a simple tool that allows for scribbles and simple cropping and adjustments to existing artwork.

  • This is by design I'm afraid, and was discussed in another similar thread.

In short creating objects and then using them in subevents is unstable for various reasons, and can cause crashes. So this had to be fixed, and now created objects do not exist until the top-level event finishes. (This is how it always worked in Classic btw, and for the same reason, so it was a bug that C2 has been letting you get away with possibly unstable events.) They are picked in their own subevent, but in subsequent subevents they don't exist yet. It is very difficult to work around this without simply putting it back which results in some projects crashing and not working at all, so I think it has to stay like this instead.

I assume the events you screenshotted are in a subevent, which is important because it affects the result.

The workaround is just to put subsequent subevents nested under the event that created the objects instead, or in this case a subsequent event is not necessary because you can just use the created instance in the same event.

  • Try Construct 3

  • This isn't currently supported I'm afraid - you have to use separate objects for the time being.

  • We don't recommend using sprite swapping - see supporting multiple screen sizes. Draw your artwork for the highest resolution display, and use the fullscreen scaling options which will downscale it to fit lower-res devices.

  • It's true some of the shaders act differently depending on the size of the texture. Post a bug report about it and I'll try to get round to it soon.

  • We have no plans for "C3" at all right now. We're still focused 100% on Construct 2!

  • No, this couldn't work unfortunately - javascript has no access to the native features necessary to implement things like WebGL and better audio. However javascript can still do a lot - Mozilla have projects in the work to make a javascript-only Flash player and PDF reader, but performance may be a problem.

  • It sounds like you're building it wrong. You don't need to use Eclipse and you have to use the 'export to appmobi' option otherwise it won't work - maybe you chose 'html5 website' instead? More info in this tutorial.

  • Eh, not quite! You need to use dt, which automatically takes in to account the timescale. More in this tutorial. Have a look at the built-in behaviors which all take it in to account.

  • Sorry for the trouble - we used to get a lot of spam on the forum and it was very time consuming to clean up, so we installed some software to auto-detect and remove spam. However it is not perfect and occasionally blocks real users. We just need to whitelist you so it doesn't happen again.

Please be patient about email, we are a very small company (2 people) and we're very busy and get a lot of email! Please allow 2-3 days to make sure we get to it.

  • It should work fine. Can you share a .capx?
